Richard MacAleese: Right out of the box, these shower heads have the feel of quality. The product housing is plastic, true, but it's a very polished plastic that feels very high quality. Looking at it, I honestly thought it was metal until I knocked on it. The fitting for securing the unit to the water line is metal, though, and using a few layers of thread seal tape, I had no leaks even on the first try. Water pressure out of this thing is crazy. We have a walk-in shower in the master bathroom, and I have to turn this thing toward the wall when starting the water to avoid it "bouncing" off the back wall and splashing out of the shower area.
Tips for installation: Use PTFE / thread seal tape by wrapping a few layers of the tape around the water line threads. Screw the shower unit on by hand, then use an adjustable wrench to tighten the fitting just to the point where you start to feel resistance. Don't overdo it with the wrench. Most people will only need something like 1/4 to 1/2 turn past the point where you can hand tighten.
