Brady: Tim Ferriss once recommended this somewhere to deal with low pressure places while travelling.

Well, I moved to Mexico and can say that while it does seem to improve the shower experience for low pressure, it also makes the mist so fine that it's like showering in a cloud and that's not very satisfying for me.

If you like a "soft" shower than this is your tool and my father-in-law loves it so they got one for his main shower.

I can't dock it more stars just because it's not what I like because it does exactly what it says and the build quality is great. It's also stupid simple, I just don't enjoy the shower experience it gives.

It replaces a normal shower, which, due to my building's water pressure was "low flow" (exactly like the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and his friends and family all looked ridiculous with flat hair due to their new low-flow shower heads -- "The Shower Head," season 7, episode 16, aired February 15, 1996). I seriously was thinking about replacing my entire shower, even though that would have meant retiling, just to get a shower with decent flow. This shower head fixed that! Now my shower is a full aerated power cloud of mist, air, and water. It's glorious.

breadrunner: Sure, they're more expensive than they used to be, but what isn't? This is a solid piece of high-quality metal that will last forever. The one I have on my other shower works great after 30 years of use.

Before I get too far into the review, I must say, this thing is small. Even after looking at the specs, you don't realize how small it actually is until it's in your hands. As far as functionality...

Without modifying anything (iow, flow restrictor in place), this thing definitely puts out more water than my old multi-function shower head, as it should–the old one was 2.0gpm max, while this is 2.5gpm max. While the spray it puts out is conical in shape, it's more of a wall of water that blasts you in the face. It easily soaks you from head to toe, but as others have mentioned the water does get somewhat cooler the further from the nozzle you get, and the "stream" somewhat weaker. It's not really an issue, though, because there is so much water and the air is warmed up quickly. See attached photos for an idea of the size, etc..

Personally, I would have preferred more of a focused cone of water than the wall that this puts out, but I can live with this. I'll probably get a diverter and a wand with a jet function to compliment this spray head, and that should cover the bases.
