Bizzee1: This book seems to have some great recipes. The problem is that I love cookbooks that have photographs of EACH recipe. There were no photos for the first 65 pages in this book. Despite interesting recipes, I returned because of lack of photos.

Sebastian: Das Buch enthält viele tolle Originalrezepte der Magnolia Bakery in NYC. Ein paar Bilder mehr wären manchmal ganz gut, aber wer Backen kann, der bekommt es auch so hin.

Wenn ich hier so Sachen lese wie: Man muss vieles auf 350 Grad backen, mein Ofen kann aber nur 250 Grad... LOL.
Das sind Grad Fahrenheit!!! (350 °F - 32) × 5/9 = ca. 177 °C
Also den Ofen dann auf 175 Grad Celsius stellen... :D
Und nun allen viel Spaß beim Backen.

Olivia Dunnam: Haven’t tried the recipes in the book yet as I don’t have self-rising flour. The recipes make a good amount of product ranging from a dozen cupcakes to one three layered cake. Recipes seem easy to follow and descriptions of how the recipes came about are fun to read. Looking forward to trying out the recipes.

KenChanKenChan: Bought it as a gift for my wife who is an avid home baker.

The item came with a small damage on the side of the book. Nothing serious and concerning just a little mark on the edge of the pages.

What we liked:
- The book is nice, the print, the style, the font is good.
- Quiet a number/collection of delectable recipes which is exciting to try. From frostings, icings, cakes, cupcakes, pudding, breads and loafs!

What can be better/Nice to have:
- Paper is too thin and delicate, easy to torn by accident
- Too few photos of the recipe though, would be nice to have more photos of the recipe outcome so we would have an idea what it would look like if properly done

Overall we liked the book and cannot wait to try the recipes.

sugar baby: Libro molto bello sulla pasticceria americana: cupcakes ma non solo. Anzi, direi che la parte più interessante sono le torte (tra cui la famosa red velvet), i brownies, i dolci per la colazione, i biscotti, le crostate, i cheesecake, i semifreddi, le farciture e creme varie (soprattutto creme al burro e creme al formaggio). Recensisco questo libro solo dopo aver provato diverse ricette e posso dire che riescono bene. Le dosi delle ricette nel libro sono solo in cups e bisogna fare la conversione in grammi. Io invece ho preferito acquistare direttamente un set di misurini anglosassoni (cups e spoons) perché più pratico. Le singole ricette non sono corredate da fotografie, ma vi sono delle pagine centrali a colori in cui sono raggruppate le foto di alcuni dolci realizzati. Ovviamente bisogna capire l'inglese per poterlo leggere. Non aspettatevi dolci leggeri: le ricette sono tipicamente americane, quindi "burrose" e ricche, con farciture al burro o al formaggio: un concentrato di calorie che crea dipendenza perché sono anche buoni! Consigliato a chi ama lo stile americano.
