Amazon Customer: I bought this book and found most of the advice useful. I only received the book last week and have been following the advice for a week now and my skin is improving although I am following a strict vegan diet with no carbs.

Amazon Customer: There are some really nice recipes in this book. If you are vegan or used to cooking healthy these recipes will work for you or if you want to change your diet and use healthy recipes. The only negative is that the recipes are in ml, grams, etc; example: 400g of chickpeas, 1.5 litres of stock, 250g of fresh asparagus. I have to convert all of the recipes. It only takes second to convert the recipes but it is an inconvenience.

shona holland: In adulthood I developed really bad contact dermatitis all over my face and neck. Across 5 months I had repeated flare ups which would go away for a week or so with steroid creams, oral antibiotics but then come straight back. I then saw a dermatologist who identified a couple of topical allergies from preservatives which did help but didn’t stop the flare ups. I was really starting to feel bad in myself especially with it being on my face so I was at the end of the road for options. I came across this book and decided to try veganism. After just 2 days my skin was so much better. I have cooked loads of these recipes now and regularly make the Gimmie Some Skin juice as well as taking Hannah’s Multi Strain Biotic daily and so far I haven’t had a flare up (I’m about 6 weeks in now). I have still enjoyed caffeine, alcohol and gluten (all in moderation) so veganism so far seems to work for me. I’d highly recommend this to anyone trying to manage a skin issue. I’ve also lost some weight which has been a nice perk. Good luck xx

Mr. J. D. Williams: Anyone embarking on this journey needs to understand that this isn’t just a diet, it’s a whole new lifestyle and way of living.

The book is beautifully presented and the recipes I tried were delicious but I didn’t complete the course. For me, the lifestyle simply wasn’t a viable, long term solution. I suffer with psoriasis and as far as I’m concerned a genuine cure is one that will curb my immune system’s enthusiasm and allow me to lead a normal life. This isn’t a genuine cure because it’s apparent aim is to remove absolutely anything that might provoke my immune system but it still doesn’t get to the heart of the problem.

Psoriasis has cost me so so much in terms of quality of life but the thought of living like a Trappist monk for the rest of my life is no more appealing than a life living with psoriasis. Food and drink bring pleasure to my life and I really couldn’t stand the thought of giving up so much. Imagine this:

1. Never having a cup of tea or coffee again.
2. Never ordering a Chinese/Indian/pizza again.
3. Never having an alcoholic drink again.
4. Never having fish and chips at the seaside again.

On and on the...

Amazon Customer: I cannot recommend Hanna's books, instagram & blog enough :-)

I've had psoriasis since I was a baby and my whole life doctors have said it's a chronic skin disease with no cure. As an adult I've done lots of research and know that an anti-inflammatory diet can improve it because it's a symptom from the gut's problems - in fact once upon a time I gave an anti-inflammatory a shot and saw improvements but gave up after 8 weeks because it was too hard. The plan and recipes Hanna's created make it sustainable and doable. This isn't a diet. This isn't going to fix everything overnight. But she knows what she's talking about, explains so called "skin conditions" so well and she makes a change in lifestyle completely possible! I highly recommend you buy this one and her book Skin Healing Expert - I bought both at the same time. (I actually prefer her second book because all recipes are vegan, but I bought both because Radiant has veggie plans that you can easily adapt and it has loads of background info and her 28 day plan).

The community Hanna's created is inspiring, my skin is slowly but surely healing and I can't explain how happy I am to have bought her books!

EmilyRedman: This book changed my life and I have to tell others about it. Back in February, my little (big) family all got Strep. After my bout with it, I broke out from head to toe from a “rash.” After several dr appts and my own research, I found out that I have guttate psoriasis. It’s autoimmune and also genetic. I was devastated, but determined to deal with it, because after all, I didn’t have a choice. I found this book through Instagram (social media is a wonderful gift) and have followed her suggestions through a well written plan. And I’m happy to say, my skin has cleared up 80% from what it was. And not a single dose of medicine. I still have a ways to go, but with the right diet, I will get there. The phrase “you are what you eat” is the truest thing I have ever heard. With 4 months of the paleo life style, I have also lost 11.2 pounds, and my face is the clearest it has ever been, unintentional. So if you have been struggling with #guttatepsoriasis yourself, I highly suggest this book! It was the best $20 I have ever spent.

davidh78: I've bought two copies of this book - once recently for a friend - and it's the best of it's type. Its quite similar in advice to Healing Psoriasis: The Natural Alternative by John O. A. Pagano, but while that book's ideas are a bit hard to follow day in day out (I gave up out of frustration), Hannah has simplified things and created a wealth of tasty skin-safe recipes. Most recipes can be made form supermarket ingredients with a few more specialist items on the side.

Before I started the program proper, I worked on a few things like radically reducing my rather high caffeine intake. I already liked 'healthy food' so had little junk to eliminate. Innovations for me were removing nightshades and all gluten and adding the supplements. As I got deeper into the program I noticed things like daily body brushing, salt baths and other seemingly peripheral things were actually very helpful in both promoting healing at at least improving the cosmetic looks of the skin.

One thing I noticed, even from the first three weeks, is that my often pretty bad IBS symptoms (bloat, belly ache, passing mucous) just disappeared 90%. Perhaps the gluten free diet or eliminating nightshades...

Mom to 5: I purchased this book as a “non aip” solution to my chronic inflammation in both my joints and body, not to heal any skin issues, because a friends husband had cured his psoriasis and joint pain with this diet. The dramatic results for me was life changing. I never once felt deprived or hungry, lost 20 pounds in 2 months, and no longer wake up sore in the morning. My eye inflammation is finally healing as well.

This diet requires commitment (what diet doesn’t?!). Sourcing some of the foods can be hard, but I have been able to do it (or sub similar, healthy, ingredients when necessary). Basically, you need to commit to ditching, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, processed foods, gluten, dairy, meat and nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and the like) along with a few other things. This can be a challenge, but as you start to feel better, you can add things slowly back in and see how they affect you. I wish there was more about that “adding back in” process in the book, but a quick google “aip paleo” gave me some tips for that.

The ingredients can also get expensive, but i consider it a medical expense and an investment in my future. Plus, my whole...

A_D: The book is well-formatted and offers a ton of information however, it can be a bit contradicting at times (once you read it you'll get what I mean). Also, the font is very small, and super light in some parts of the book which may be annoying for those hard at seeing. Either way, being a long-term sufferer of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis I'm more than willing to try just about anything to rid my body of this horrible disease. I begin my detox cleanse next week, hoping to see some improvements over the next few months. I will provide an update in the near future. (Side Note: I think it would be beneficial if the author made suggestions of the medications she used and did not use during her recovery from Psoriasis and the affects they had during recovery time. I take Humira and I wonder if the biologic will interfere with the cleanse in any way... I know the author is not at bay to give medical advise, but for future reference it could be beneficial to readers if the medications (excluding steroid creams), if any, were at least discussed)

Bennie: I absolutely love this book! It is very informative and really helpful for someone with psoriasis, eczema or any other skin issues . I initially met the author via Instagram and reached out to her as I had struggled with psoriasis for 4 years and she sent me some free information to start with. After feeling an improvement in my energy after trying out some of her suggestions, I decided to buy this book. Awesome! I recently made the Coconut Cardamom soup and it's delicious and hearty and filling. The layout of the book is very reader friendly. I love that the steps are not complicated so it makes following her recipes easy for me to follow since I absolutely detest following directions. LOL. The first part of the book is great information for anyone who's trying to make sense about what they need to avoid in order to bring down inflammation of their skin, the photographs of the food look absolutely divine and just a very easy book to follow and read. I have a few recipe books and this is the only one that I would actually look through and cook from because she has laid it out so nicely and easily. If you want to see a genuine difference in your health, this book is great! I have...
