Sarie B: It's clear that Maria Emmerich worked very hard to create this book. It is somewhat thorough, but she does leave out certain things and doesn't give the reader newer options to replace grain pasta, etc. She did briefly mention Konjac once, which is Shirataki but neglected to share how to prepare it. Shirataki (Konjac or Miracle Noodles) comes in many different shapes, including rice, fettuccini, penne, spaghetti, Ziti, and more. The first part of her book explains Keto and then makes an awesome list of foods, in categories, that are Keto friendly. I was surprised that she didn't mention spinach in the vegetable category, which is an excellent Keto veggie- green cruciferous vegetables are Keto approved .... nor did she mention organ meats like calves liver (extremely beneficial and nutritional on Keto, or chicken livers and beef and chicken hearts. The lists in each category are extremely helpful for those who are anxious about which foods are OK, and which aren't.
Aside from the huge price of this book $35.95 on shelves (Amazon's $22.95 was even high), my biggest complaint is that the recipes were way too heavy on the Oriental Side. She divides the recipes into Oriental (43...

𝓛𝓲𝓿𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓶!: You know how you go to a restaurant and they give you a menu with all those "yummy" (but BAD for you) foods? Let me tell you, this cookbook is our MENU!!! We use it every single day for the BEST tasting KETO food we have EVER had with SIMPLE ingredients! This is our kitchen bible for real lol. I don't know how we ever survived keto without it!! Well... we didn't lol lasted about 2 months dropped 50lbs from googling recipes every day with those high ratings saying they're the best... um, SOME were all right but MOST were disgusting!!! So we fell off the wagon for a year while I packed back on 30 of the 50 pounds I lost and couldn't fit into my clothes, had to buy clothes that weren't cute, legs and knees were killing me while I would climb my stairs or stand for a while. So I had to put my foot down and say this junk food lifestyle needs to come to a halt right now! I went back on keto and was determined not to eat bad tasting food again so I searched and search stumbled across Maria Emmerich Restaurant favorites and Comfort foods cookbooks. I grabbed them both and it was the BEST purchase EVER! In my opinion! EVERY single recipe we make from either book is delicious! No lie! We...

Rebecca I.: I love the work Maria and Craig Emmerich do. They are so dedicated to helping others. This book does not disappoint! The recipes are delicious and are REAL food. If you are not used to cooking real food/no processed, it can feel like a lot of cooking. But with planning ahead it's not difficult. Some of the ingredients are a little difficult to find in Spain but substitutions can easily made. I have several of their books and I look forward to adding more!

K King: You don't have to lose out on those delicious restaurant meals anymore!. I now have most of her books and they have absolutely changed my understanding and approach to the food we eat. She and her husband Craig do the most amazing job in bringing us the latest information on the way eating low carb can benefit each and every one of us. They share their research and help in the most simplistic and clear manner .... and the food is AMAZING. My husband does not follow my low carb way of eating, but this does not complicate our meals in any way....and he is always totally amazed at the food we eat, it really can be eaten by the whole family. As I now have most of her books I don't ever feel the need to look elsewhere when meal planning. A huge thank you to Maria and Craig for everything you have done and continue to do!

Delta Erin: Once again Ketogenic maven Maria Emmerich has produced a cookbook I'm already in love with, this time focussing on Ethnic and even Fast Food favourites. If you're not familiar with the Ketogenic way of eating, no worries, Emmerich explains it clearly as well as what tools are needed. With lots of dairy/nut/egg free options, these recipes are simply written, easy to follow, and have all the Nutritional Information included. And I love that Emmerich includes a visual index so you can browse the recipes by their photos - dare you to look through this book without drooling!
I showed Keto Restaurant Favorites to a pal. She said the book looks "fresh and inviting" - she's got that right. Ya know, this is not just a great Keto cookbook, but a great cookbook. Period.
