Joyce Becket: This Lodge Dutch Oven book is great information. I haven't had a chance to try any of the recipes but the beginning of the book tells history of the dutch oven and how it was made in the past and goes on to present day process of making them.

rig chick: Recipes are good information and ways to use the dutch oven is great. Nice stories. Only downfall some of the recipes are product specific. Example martha white self rising corn meal mix, never heard of it never seen it, so now what? What ingredients substitute that? Otherwise, and since that is a minor set back I do love the book! It one of my new go to's.

Mrs. B.: Daughter only uses Lodge cooking pots and this added to her collection of fantastic recipes! Works on glass top stoves as well without scratching if you are careful.

Judi Robinson: Not too keen on the recipes the "Lodge Cast Iron Cookbook" is far superior and really all you need, that being said the book is not a totally loss as it gives some very useful information on the various uses for the Dutch oven for this reason I decided to keep it.
