Experience the superior comfort and protection of Decibullz today! Damo: I followed the directions to a T firing these with large triple flange and wore them at a 3 gun match.
Pros
- Protection: Felt comparable to other triple flange or foam in ear protection while shooting.
- Comfort: Didn’t really feel the need to take them out at all during the match.
- Function: was able to have conversations wearing them without the over amplified background noise of my electronic muffs.
Cons
- Fitting: Not really a con, but you have to actually follow the directions to get it right.
- Price: Something tells me the difference in production cost justify the price change between models of this style ear pro.
** I didn’t test this but I don’t think they would be adequate with higher caliber firearms or indoor. (I prefer foam plugs and muffs indoor. So, ymmv)

Amazon Customer: I could never get them molded correctly. I molded the right side 4 different times and thought I had it. Shot my first stage of a State Championship and hated them. Put them in my range bag. I'm sure they work for a lot of people but not for me. Wish I could get a refund..

Alex: They molded great to my ear and provide a good seal. Yes I can hear people talking tho it is definitely restricted. The biggest issue is if you’re a waterfowl hunter. They completely screw up my calling. I can’t hear the call as the percussion filter keeps opening and closing really messing with my calling. Would work fine trap/ target shooting but not if you run a all

david arseneaultdavid arseneault: Je suis menuisier.

Texstechfan: Let me start by saying these do work to a point. I use them at the gun range. The molding process was easy if you follow instructions to the letter. They do filter out most loud sounds. They can be easily overpowered by some large caliber guns. Don't expect to carry on a perfect conversation with these in as they do muffle voices extremely well. I really cant tell much difference in these and quality ear plugs. I wear them because I paid for them I wouldn't buy again I think its too much money vs regular plugs. They do hurt your ears after a couple of hours but just pull them out and you notice how good it really feels to not have them in. Way overpriced for what they do. I understand why they cost because you can mold them to your ear. But, I can push in a less expensive correctly sized earplug and it works just as good.

alan hodgkinson: used for shotgun shooting. they let enough sound in to hear the thrower and speech.

Cherry: Follow the molding instructions. I bought these to replace electronic earmuffs. Reason being, I do not like the earmuffs pressing against the frame of my shooting glasses into my temples. So bought these to fix that. I will say suppression wise. They are not as effect as traditional muffs electronic or not. If you are extremely concerned with hearing loss maybe use traditional muffs. Conversations no problem, didnt have a problem communicating off or on range with these in. From a comfort standpoint much more enjoyable shooting experience not having the frames pressing into my temples. Inner ear comfort does take some getting use too as you are in fact pushing the dB filter into your ear canal. So if you find earbuds uncomfortable these are not for you.

MTC: I've used these for duck and coyote hunting. They have worked well. I've recommended them to fellow hunters. I prefer them to my electronic muffs.
They may take a few attempts to get them to mold correctly to your ears. Mold them and give them a go. If you find they don't block enough sound or are uncomfortable, mold them again.

Alexei: These ear plugs can be tricky to mold and get a proper seal. I ended up upgrading my eartips to foam ones. However, once you get it right, I find that they offer good protection - similar to what you'd get with slim electronic earmuffs for percussive sounds but without batteries or the bulk. If someone's using a muzzle brake nearby, I find it uncomfortably loud and double up (put slim electronic earmuffs over top of these). That said, I don't get any ringing or headaches - just feel like it's too loud. I had to use both earplugs and earmuffs in these situations prior to getting these decibullz as well.
Wearing these for a few hours is where the custom molding effort pays off as these don't irritate my ears and stay in place securely. It's also surprisingly easy to have a conversation with these decibullz plugs in (either by themselves or doubled up with electronic earmuffs).
So while it may be tricky to get proper fit, I'd say they deliver on their promise and don't get in the way like earmuffs do. I'm very happy with these but definitely make sure you get a good seal. And don't throw your earmuffs away as you might need both depending on your circumstances.

SCCARGUY: I completed a couple range sessions now. This product preformed great.I've shot both hand guns and rifles with good results. The only limitation i have found is in small or bussy indoor ranges I felt the need to double up with a set of muffs. The best thing is how comfortable they are on more than one occasion I have found my self halfway home still wearing them lol.
