The DeLonghi Livenza Dual Zone Easy Clean Deep Fryer is the best deep fryer on the market. It is designed with easy maintenance in mind and its stainless steel construction provides extra durability. The fryer is equipped with a lower cool zone temperature that keeps the oil clean for longer and a convenient drain system for easy oil reuse. With its 18 x 11 x 12.5 inch dimensions and silver finish, this deep fryer is sure to meet your cooking needs and provide a great overall satisfaction.Lynda W.: Haven’t had this item long but like that it is more streamlined than my previous one. Just two of us now so decided to get smaller fryer, narrow, can actually fit on counter next to my microwave. When I use it I put on top of stove and use oven overhead fan. Will not miss trying to “carefully “ lift and pour large oil container from old one when changing oil. Being elderly have less strength in my hands. Seemed less fat fumes from my older model.

Eddie Speed: I had a DeLonghi Fryer for over 20 years that just recently gave up on me. Decided to go back with another one, which has much newer technology that the first one. The old one was a temperature dial model, no real electronic controls. The new one has digital Temp control with timer. This is great for frying different types of foods that require different temp ranges and time to cook ranges. It holds one gallon and best of all has a filtered drain that you can completely drain the oil for later use, and simply wipe out any residual. A great fryer.

Sparkly: Have had it for only a week and tried a few times only. I made sure the valve is not leaking as some reviewers noted it as a problem. Overall it is easy to use though the manual is not very intuitive. It uses tons of oil as the basin is rectangular, unlike a wok that I had used as a deep fryer which obviously has a smaller bottom. The most undesirable feature is the basket handle which is unnessarily long, sticking out too much that I could easily bump to it when turning aroud or even just walking by. I worry an accident of such would be very forciful and may cause the whole fryer to fall. My workaround is to position the deep fryer in parallel to the kitchen wall so the handle does out stick out. Not very convenient but it is better safe than sorry. I suggest the manufacturer to consider make the handle foldable.
Also hoped there was a way to take out the crumbs at the bottom without having to drain the oil, such as scrapin screen or some kind of filtering mechanism at the bottom.
I never had another deep fryer so can't compare with any other. It serves what I need, a safer tool than using a wok to deep fry.
An update after a few months and then used it again...

Psaugar1: Liked everything about it, once I learned all the procedures. The only issue are I had to get use to the controls and procedures, (theres No On or Off) only a start or call it a Enter program button. You plug it in, its On, unplug its Off. Easy to totally clean, however the safeties are too sensitive.
1. Safery plug is polarized thats good!!!
2. Magnetic plug in to unit only goes one way, thats good!!!
3. Tank sensor must have minimum amount of oil or it will not turn on, which is good up to a point? I've had a hard time restating the unit after total recleaning. Even after pluging in, puting oil in, I had to keep pressing the tiny recessed Reset button. It gets scary, because it's full of new oil.
I recommend just fill enough oil covering the heat coil so the sensor is well covered and unit starts the fill the rest of the way. Once you learn the controls and remember, too set the desired temperature, the timer must be turned on by (pressing the center start/enter button) to start the preheating of the oil. When the preheat temperature is reached
(I set mine at 320 deg), you can reset the timer to the desired cooking time. Press the start/enter center button again....

Ivko Cvejic: If you've recently been shopping for a deep fryer, you know that there are a dizzying array of options. Some claim to be commercial quality, but unless they cost thousands of dollars and are made by a brand name you've heard of or can lookup and call, they aren't. And even if they were commercial fryers they would probably be too big for your home anyway. So unless you're stocking a restaurant focus on the residential appliances.
By now everyone knows or should know that something like 70% of electronics sold on Amazon are Chinese knockoffs. Basically they steal the blueprint some company actually designed with engineers, head down the road, and manufacture an identical looking appliance. That's why so many appliances look exactly the same; they are using the same frames, etc. as the real product. Sometimes that's a "who cares" situation, but NOT when it comes to something like a deep fryer. Improperly built, these things are a serious fire and burn hazard in your house. The thing about the knockoffs is that the fly-by-night companies that make them cut corners to produce the cheapest unit they possibly can, and the idea that they would hire electrical engineers and safety...
