Glenn: So I bought this light because of some very good reviews, I installed the light hooked everything up and followed the instructions, the sunrise works occasionally and the sunset does not even come on. So I reached out to Current USA and they told me they could not help with any extra parts because of international reasons as I live in Ontario Canada. Now the supplier of the light was very willing to give me a refund, but I did not want to get another light, I wanted this one fixed. So please beware if you are living in Canada of what to expect from Current USA. I will no longer be buying anything from them. Thanks for nothing.

Gerry HaydenGerry Hayden: Been looking to upgrade the basic, white/blue/off light on my Fluval Marine Spec 60 litre tank for something much more controllable. Liked the look of this as it appeared it's possible to install it and retain the original aquarium cover. Was a bit apprehensive about ordering something from the USA to use here in the UK, but so far there have been no issues at all.
It arrived 10 days!! earlier than the expected delivery date, very well packaged. Good set of accessories for running the cables etc. Instructions are very clear. No issues running on the 230 volt supply here as the power supply is dual voltage, but you will need an adapter plug to adapt the 3 pin UK mains sockets to the flat 2 pin US style connector. I'm also using a surge protector power socket on my aquarium to ensure a stable power supply as an extra precaution.
Installing on the Fluval aquarium to retain use of the existing aquarium cover requires some modification to the cover itself and requires a hacksaw, small file and long nose pliers. The cuttings into the plastic cover are not visible externally when the cover is in place and the appearance makes the light unit look like it's a natural part of the...

Ravi S.: I am really satisfied with how the light functions

M.C.: The ends were a little bent, and weren't meant for our tank style, so we had to get a little creative, but we made it work. I gave it a 3 for value for that reason. For the cost, it should have had a variety of tank fittings. We honestly felt like it would fall into the tank, before we "fixed" it. It is bright enough and can be set to automatically change according to the time of day. It is fairly easy to use if you read the instructions, but like I mentioned earlier, we had to get creative to make it work for our tank. All in all it was worth it, but pretty expensive for a light for the fish!!! Lol

Brad: When we first tried to set this up, the loop controller clock wasn't working and we had to do our day and night cycles manually. I contacted customer support and by the next day I was talking to them via email. We provided them with the receipt and serial number and we had a new controller within a week. Very good customer support, and now that we have the controller working the light seems very good. Our corals are doing a lot better (our last light started to give out and dim, and as a result some of our corals began to suffer) Day and night modes are somewhat customizable and the weather modes are cute, though we don't really use them. Over all better than expected for the money. The only thing holding me back from a 5 star is that the loop controller malfunctioned in the first place and I would have liked a little bit more play in customizing light cycles. Over all I'd have loved to give em a 4.5 though.

A.S.: I have a 20 long nano reef tank that I have been using 4 bulb 24" T5 lighting with for the past 3 years. I was shopping for replacement bulbs and the price would have been around $95 shipped. I had been looking at LED for the past few months and decided to go with this fixture instead of dropping $100 on T5 bulbs every year.
I purchased the 24"-36" model an it fits my 20 long tank just fine. It has 23 watts so that satisfies the rule of thumb of 1 watt per gallon for corals. I have some softies, LPS and two RBTAs. I have the fixture sitting right on top of the tank frame and it is very small and sleek compared to the much larger T5 fixture. So far all of my corals and two anemones are growing well with this light. I have it set at 100% blues and 75% whites. This LED fixture uses alot less power and runs alot cooler than the T5 setup I had.
This LED setup is plenty powerful enough for my shallow tank that is 12" deep. I would NOT advise using this fixture for anything deeper. This light would also be plenty to grow SPS in a shallow tank. The LED gives a nice shimmering effect that T5 washes out but it is still not as good as thwe shimmer you would get from single...

Peter M. Ross, Ph.D.: This is a revolutionary concept in aquarium lighting for someone like me who has used only fluorescent fixtures. For not much more than fluorescent hood plus bulb (my hood fixture was shot and the bulb was old, so the extra money didn't hurt), I got this. I don't have it optimized, but It works fine. The unit has two rows each of white and blue LEDs. The actual length is shorter than the given size. It appears to be calculated based on the angle at which the bulbs will illuminate the aquarium. On the outside edges, there is a little less light, but you can slide the unit to one side if there's one spot on the edge you want to highlight. It's also natural to have a shady spot in the aquarium for fish to retreat to. The lamp unit sits nicely where the fluorescent light assembly sat. There are extendable legs for reasons unclear to me. There is a controller unit and a remote to operate the controller, which cycles the two banks of lights on and off and dims them, cycling independently. The designers apparently thought twilight where my fish came from is blue, whereas daylight is bright white (not sunlight in my opinion). That's okay; I'm used to it after a few weeks, and the fish...
