RedRed: After reading the reviews I was hesitant to purchase this gate. However, I really needed something for my staircase that didn’t require drilling any holes in my new walls. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I took it out of the packaging. It was well packaged, labeled and sturdy. I took a star off due to the instructions for installation not being very clear. It took me a bit to figure it out, but once I did, the gate felt super secure and worked like a charm.

Delilah Guardiola: I really liked the quality of the product. My son is a bit rough and really yanks on the bars but it holds steady. I enjoy the door and that I don't have to step over the gate each time.

Another huge plus is that there's no need to screw it in. But it holds just as well as if it was screwed in.

Mark: Looks great. A little awkward to install. It uses pressure to hold it between surfaces. The sticky back that has to be applied doesn’t always stay on the plastic cups that holds the gate and you can see them sticking out from behind the support cups. Otherwise the gate is sturdy and functional. We bought them to keep our dogs from going upstairs. So much easier than carrying a portable gate up and down every time!

Bob TBob T: Advertisement clearly states this is East install pressure gate, no tools required. So I opened it all up and when I looked at the directions it cautions that you must attach cups to the wall or your baby can knock it down. Need a drill and screwdriver. Even gives a template that says how to mark the spots on the wall. Someone who did not see that warning on a plastic piece that held the hardware can certainly sue if their child falls down the stairs along with the gate. Sad that companies have to lie to sell their product.
UPDATE: Once I installed this gate without drilling and using the cups, the pressure against my wall and stair post, the gate held tightly. That being said, if this is to be a longer term install, I would suggest using the cups provided that you attach to the wall. Keeps it more secure. I hope this company makes this all a bit more clear.

Eevee Cooley: I ordered 2 gates a couple months before my new baby was to be born and didn't put them up until maybe about a month after he was born.
One is still perfectly fine but the second ones door just came right off. The bolt broke off inside so I can't do anything to fix it. I am also unable to return it because of the time which is highly unfortunate. I am glad I got it for a little under 100 instead of a little over 300.
I bought these gates to keep my toddler from running in and out of the master bedroom and to keep him out of the kitchen. The bedroom doorway is average and it fits perfect. The kitchen way is a wider way and it still has a good fit. My husband did the installation and said it was fairly easy.
I think they're good quality I just happened to get unlucky.
