Madcowkitty: After you let the water run for a bit after initial installation, it tastes as good as bottled purified water. I'm amazed. Though it did take getting used to running to the sink for fresh water. I am going to put the filter to the test. A whole year...we shall see. Occasionally the faucet does let go of a bit of water, mostly when the main faucet is on. Also I might add the splitter that came with the unit wasn't compatible with my sink hoses. I had to spend an extra 20 dollars from my local hardware store to complete installation.

Blade: I get it, products are made to a price point. But most of America has 3/8 compression fittings on their shutoff valves. The water tap that comes with this kit requires removal of your shutoff valve which means cutting off the water for the whole house. And it's a cheap fitting at that. Assume you will have to purchase something to connect you existing water supply to the included 1/4 line. And they don't really include much line, so might need to purchase more if your supply is at one side and you want to mount the faucet on the other side of the sink. Then there is the faucet. It feels really cheap. Compared to my last Ispring faucet this feels lower quality and the knob is awkward and can't be reversed due to a still way to mount the base. The biggest issue is if you have granite counters that are not paper thin, the nut to tighten the water line hits the retaining nut for the faucet. That was the filter itself is a beast and the mount is nice quality. They say you have to turn off the water supply to replace the filter but it seems like the type that doesn't need that. Will have to test it when it's time to change the filter.

Overall not terrible but a little more...

Chris Goodfellow: Bought as a replacement element for existing plumbing. It is important to 'match the numbers' of the cartridge being replaced as there are different attachment fittings. Also, the '-3' denotes microns of filtration - get the one right for your needs. Used on a boat to filter tank water. Provides good tasting, clear drinking water and removes numerous impurities. There are 'cheaper' choices out there but, as usual - 'you get what you pay for'! I'd recommend this product for quality and decent value.

Clare CudmoreClare Cudmore: This is the fourth time I've bought this filter for different taps in different houses. I love it. It's a relatively easy set up and the ez filter works better than a Brita and so much cheaper and more convenient in the long run. No need to get frustrated when someone doesn't remember to refill a pitcher.

If you live in Canada the included connector for the water line likely won't work. Save frustration and order the correct connector at the same time. Search Amazon for B07JVM7WLS - for us with the 3/8 braided lines it worked - this one is a 3/8 x 3/8 x 1/4 connector. This was $20.

I wish I could put one in at my work as well! Highly recommend!

Paul Eaton: I bought the system through Amazon and easily installed myself. This filter came with it and I have run off approximately 2 liters per day, over the last 6 months or so, for drinking & cooking. I plan to change out the filter in June if the taste starts to degrade. I figure that one can run off 8 gallons per day for a year before change is needed if your tap water is already great quality. Strongly recommend.

Bobmon: I had one of those filters that you put on the end of your faucet for a number of years. It worked pretty well until I finally noticed that water had started leaking out from the base of the faucet neck. Apparently after all this time the back pressure caused by that filter and the weight of it levering down on the neck was causing the internal gaskets to fail. I removed the filter and the leaks stopped. But, this left me without filtered water. I wanted filtered water still but without the hassle of a pitcher in the fridge or having to replace my entire faucet due to the back pressure and levering caused by the on the neck one.

Looking on Amazon I found a number of filters of varying prices and ultimately I decided to take a chance on this Culligan unit because the price was decent, the name is well known to me, and it had pretty good reviews. So far in the month or so that I've had it installed I'm quite satisfied with it. The water comes out at a very decent pressure, far better than my old on the faucet based filter.
