Steve Hughes: I don't often leave reviews but in this situatin I feel I need to. COOAU products in general I have found to be reliable, easy to set up and good quality. The reason for my review is to compliment COOAU on their brilliant customer service. I have been dealing with a representative called Fairy, and they have been so helpful. From the moment I reported the issue and they responded very quickly, we then had a few more emails and they always responded within hours of my messages. Throughout the process they were clear and concise with the checks they were doing, and providing advise on what I could try at my end. Finally they have resolved the issue by sending me a replacement device. An absolutely brilliant service and to be honest very refreshing with all the poor customer service currently out there. Well done COOAU!!!!

Ann: Had to contact Cooau support as camera stopped functioning after moving (up to that point was very pleased and have 2). Fairy in Support went through standard troubleshooting but in end arranged a replacement which came within a few days. Very happy and would definitely buy again and support very responsive and supportive to achieve the best outcome.
Only reason gave overall 4/5 is due to fault that developed and needed a replacement, however support would remain a 5.

B. WilliamsB. Williams: The set-up was fairly easy and the app works very well on my phone- instructions are clear and easy to follow. The video streams in SD and HD mode, I have been running HD but had to boost my WIFI signal with a repeater as this camera is mounted a fair distance away from my WIFI hub. I purchased a 64gig micro sd memory card (not supplied) which first needed to be formatted before the camera detected it. So far I've been monitoring the solar battery feed and WIFI signal and both are holding up very well. Still early days, but I am very impressed by both the picture and video quality. A couple of negatives are: the notification is almost silent on my phone which means you could miss someone trespassing on your property and it is not Alexa compatible- which could have supplemented for a low sounding alert tone. However, for the price and capability, it offers, I am happy with the kit. I will review this camera in 6 months' time again.

Troy birt: so i was sceptical because looking for a cctv system that was relatively maintenance free once up, brought this mid spring and attached it to the drain pipe on corner of house its very light nothing some zipties and bit of gorilla glue cant handle, let it charge up on a usb before putting it up, once up and connected to the solar panel ( try to put solar panel so it points towards where the sun is at its highest point to ensure you get the most sunlight each day ), and it works a treat recharges the battery to full with no problems so far even on quite a cloudy day, ive only had one instance where it was wasn't charging due to being to dark, but its not that much of a problem as the battery is capable of lasting a weeks with out anyway, the picture is clear, and i can see a good amount detail up to 40 metres out from front of my house which is enough to get perfect images of the little quad bike riding ##### so the old bill can seize them, but i can see further, its got zoom and a handy speaker built in so i can bellow at delivery drivers who are to lazy to close the gate after them, all in all a very good well built camera and best off all the camera just unscrews when you...

Alleyn Yasskin: These cameras set up easily overall, including connecting to WiFi/the router. The app is easy to use and seems secure. The angle is quite wide, meaning the width of the footage is better than expected. The image decent day and night but is a bit more grainy than I expected when zooming in. Image is likely comparable to other cameras in this price range. Customer support responds via email fairly fast. I don't see a phone number. User manuals are high quality. The mounting screws are just okay quality. Be sure to drill a countersink hole first. WiFi connection has been good after mounting. No interruptions. A sim card of 32 GB will last a very long time for motion detecting sensing 10-40 seconds each recording. Once the angle is set, hand tightening does a decent job, but could hold position better with a gasket or the like, and there's no way to download footage from the SIM via WiFi. Recording the recording on screen with a personal camera is possible for specific footage without removing SIM. These last two reasons are why I rate this 4 stars and not 5. Giovanni: I’ve used this camera for a month. I’m fairly new with my experience and use of security cameras. I began with a couple $20 outdoor cameras. There were recorded incidents at night from these cameras. When the recordings were played back for law enforcement, they were too dark and grainy looking to be of any use to them, which led me to look at replacing the cameras with better night and day vision cameras.
The battery cameras were an ideal option since it allowed me to place them in an inconspicuous area. To me, this camera has superb clarity with day and night vison. The details in the video streams are clear, even at about 75 to 100 ft at night. The wide-angle view was also a plus for where this camera was placed, with excellent audio quality. When there was a torrential downpour of rain, this camera stayed connected to the wifi signal and still maintained a crisp clear picture through the rain, even at night.

AskewPsycheAskewPsyche: I read a ton of reviews and wasn’t impressed with any of them. Don’t recognize any brands. They all seemed to have a bunch of flaws. Saw this one, and I recognized the Cooau brand from a dash cam I bought 6 months ago that I love. This had zero reviews though. But, with free amazon returns, I figured I’d give it a shot.

I don’t normally write reviews, this is my second or third ever. Since there were none, I thought I might share my experience in buying it.

Currently I own Wyze and Insteons. Almost went with a Zumimall one this time. It looks similar, but I don’t like that the card slot isn’t covered from weather (this one is at the bottom and has a weatherproof cover to protect the card and buttons).

First impressions. It’s built tough, lol. I dropped it on a tile floor within the first couple minutes and it didn’t even leave a mark. It feels solid as a rock. Setup took less than a minute. Download a free app, click on your WiFi, then show the QR code it creates to the camera lens. My Wyze ones are similar setup, but they didn’t go that seamlessly.
