Donna: I was very excited when I ordered both of these water fountains for my girls as they had been drinking from an exact fountain that were BPA Free heavy duty plastic. After opening the boxes I could tell right away the top of bowl and the actual bowl were 2 different colors; 1 top looks as if it's an unpolished steel and the bottom bowl looks to be polished. In the photos online the entire units shows polished. Not only that but there are no holes in the top portion for the water to filter thru but rather there is 1 only 1 small opening so the water coming out of the flower and flows into the top just sits, and goes down into the bowl very slowly.
After cleaning thoroughly and putting out for the girls to use, it did take a day for them to drink from it (good thing I kept 1 of the older units going). They are not too crazy about the water pooling at the top that's easy to figure out. Anyways, after a few days I noticed a white line forming around the water line on the top. I use bottled water for my girls so there should be no white line. I cleaned both units after 1 week. PJJPJJ: My pets love this. My puppy and one cat drink from it easily and often. My female cat, who we purchased this fountain for, rarely uses it. To be honest, she was feral when we took her in, so she does everything differently.
You MUST, MUST monitor this unit, keeping it full of water. We have ours on a timer to go off while our pets sleep then it comes on at day light. (I do keep a fresh bowl out at night)
This unit is easy to assemble, clean, it's relatively quiet, until the water gets low, when you hear it, it needs water.
Filter changing is easy, once a month. Bulk filter purchases are available here on Amazon.
You must keep it clean...I clean it once a week warm soapy water, rinse with hot water. That's MY opinion, everyone is free to do as they wish.
This is a tiny unit. I have cats and a small bred dog, toy fox terrier. The dog in the photo is a puppy, 4 months, 4.1/4 pounds, to give you an idea of the size.

Here's the Pros & Cons along with my personal critique on this cute Daisy Water Fountain for your cat(s) and/or small dog.

I bought this because my 8 month old kitten has a hard time drinking from standing water. (Water in a bowl)
I've spent the past 6-1/2 months trying various ways to help him adjust to drinking from something other than his momma cat as well as a bottle designed to feed kittens formula to wean them....
And welp... ordering a fountain was my last hope..
And last resort as I live off of a fixed income.

Pro #1:
My 8 month old kitten had seen my other cats drink from the fountain and went right over and began to drink from it immediately!!! YAY!!!

As seen in the short video clip it really and truly is an extremely QUIET fountain!!!

Pro #3:
You can put it literally anywhere that your cats will approach it to drink from it.
As well as even when full of water it is very light weight.
