MamaBear: I have two rescue cats between 10 to 12 lbs. Their old carriers were too large, and they panicked every time we used them. We put them in these carriers, and they simply settled down. So far, the cats are happy; if they are happy, we are! We bought one carrier per cat, and it was a great purchase for us as RV travelers who sometimes must spend a day or so in the shop waiting lounge while the RV is getting some much-needed work!

I liked the one I bought in November a lot. I got only one because I had the hard carrier in the event I had to transport both cats, but it's usually one at a time to the vet. But I had a vet appointment for both coming up, and I really wanted the convenience of this carrier for both. I'm a little disappointed that they made some changes, specifically with the zipper pulls.

The first one came with a snap clip on the pulls so that a determined kitty would be able to get its paw between the pulls and open the carrier. This second one I just got does not. That was one of the best selling features! One cat is an escape artist, and the other is so fearful he might be able to separate the zippers. The new one is also about an inch shorter in length, so the pad doesn't fit correctly. I'm contemplating returning it.

I used to have a hard side carrier that had easy connectors to just flip to remove the top to get the cat out. I donated it when that kitty passed, and couldn't find one like it when I adopted new kitties. Getting them in took 10 minutes of lead time before going to the vet, and...

Amazon Customer: This is a great product. Up until now I have always used a hard plastic carrier with the metal door. It was a big old thing and took up lots of room along with gathering lots of dust. We used the same carrier for all our cats. Until I needed to move both of our cats at the same time. I didn’t want to get another big, plastic carrier and struggle with lugging two. Was so happy when I found these. They are super easy to unfold and have so many zippered opening. You can decide which opening would be the easiest for loading your pet. I actually loved the large zippered top opening. I can’t say it was a breeze loading my cat but it certainly main things much easier. The cats seemed to like it so much better because their view is so much better through the mesh material. Once your done, just unzip and fold up!
