DevonDevon: So this axe is really good quality and I am using it as my clutch axe. The weight is top heavy but has a good balance and doesn't require much force to get it in the wood. I did cut the handle as for me I found it too long ( I am 5'6") The width of the handle is perfect and has a nice finish. The blade was easy to sharpen. It came with a rubber covering, I wish it came with a more sturdy cover for the blade. But overall satisfied with my purchase. Side note: it doesn't come with the sticker. I put it on there to find my axe easy in a line up.

Amazon Customer: While some might prefer a firearm, I like the intimidation factor of a well sharpened hand axe. The lines on the floor, showing optimal throwing distance, also help convince the home invader I am not kidding when I throw the first axe just a little to the left of their head, and it becomes imbedded in the wall. I have never had to throw a second axe as the would be home invader has already run away.
I have made about 1,000 practise throws and the axe(s) show no signs of falling apart.

Amazon Customer: Als Übungswaffe ziemlich überzeugend, aber:
- Ich habe die Ecken der Axt mit einer Flex (ja die schneidet auch Kunststoff) abgerundet. So wie geliefert ist sie extrem gefährlich im Training.
- Das Gewicht ist sehr realistisch. Das Material ist sehr harter Kunststoff. Für ein Partnertraining empfehle ich auf jeden Fall Fechtmasken. Sonst ist das Risiko von Kopfverletzungen sehr groß.
- Ich haben den Griff gekürzt. Aus meiner Sicht ist die Axt damit führiger.

J. Miesse: This axe is a pretty sturdy axe that throws nicely. Upon some intensive testing, we did find that the handle may be starting to crack but that is after deliberate and repeated attempts to throw it incorrectly to find out how durable it really is. Overall very happy with this axe for beginner throwers and we even ordered more.

The Almighty Storm!The Almighty Storm!: Updated review 5/2021 - since the review a couple of years ago, I continuted to work with the competition thrower and axe gang axes by cold steel and I grown to love them. So I am amending my old review from 1 star to 4. For my past review, read below.

Cold steel has made improvements to the handles. They working as they should without the worries of having them shatter when you stick your axes cleanly into the boards. I own several cold steel throwers and I am no longer having an issue with breakage nor worried that they will after a few throws.

They are competition ready; you can throw in either the IATF or WATL with these axes because the size, weight and blade length are to league specifications.

For the price, this was made to be beaten up. So think of this as a beginner axe but also one that you can throw without worrying about the nicks, scratches etc. I use these for WATL Duals competition and trick shots.

Overall this ain't bad to start with, you can compete with it and you can learn with it. But yes, try not to go to crazy, handles to break if you intentionally want to kill your axe.
