The Prodigal Carpenter: I always have a couple capacitors stashed around as this is usually the first thing that goes when my a/c quits blowing cold air. There's never a good time for this to happen, however I've gotten fairly skilled over the years in replacing these. Carefully and cautiously (discharging the old), shutting off the power, and then replacing. 20 minute job that saves hundreds of dollars instead of calling for an HVAC repairman.

Zen: I diagnosed the AC and found out I needed a new capacitor. After watching a few videos, I chose the correct model and ordered this. I replaced it in a few minutes and have had no issue. It's been working fine for two summers. The replacement is not hard but you need to be sure about Dos and don'ts. So watch enough videos and follow the rules. After all, you will fix your AC for about ten bucks and that feels so good. I would recommend it.

M0109: When my AC failed in the midst of a heat wave and I couldn't get anyone to come out and service it because they were already backed up with customers, I started researching online and it was clear that the capacitor tends to be the issue much of the time. Anyway, it took 20 minutes at most to find the part #, order this on Amazon and install it, and my AC is back working again!

Archie Care Computer and Maintenance: worked perfect, installed after testing it with a meter and my compressor ran like a champ. Still working. The only difference was the size of the capacitor, was a bit taller and thinner than the old one. But had no trouble getting it to fit the old bracket on the unit.
