Steve M: Device is designed well. Due to the clearance requirements I had to extend the length above the roof.
So, the only components that of value are the Y and the cap. It would be nice if those were sold separately as it would reduce the cost, packaging and shipping fees

Daniel PrefachDaniel Prefach: Work perfectly for my tankless gas water heater. Used my existing hole in the roof to replace the Normal vent off of the tank water heater. Very happy with my purchase and glad I Decided to use this method. One thing I did different from the directions was not to glue the top vent on but is on but secure it with a screw. I did this in case you needed to remove it For maintenance or some other reason and not have to cut it off and buy another unit Entirely.

C. Attermann: This product is well-made and I would highly recommend it for any condensing appliance installation. The installation instructions included on the box however made my install much more complicated than it needed to be. Those instructions say to first cement the bottom "wye" connector to the large diameter pipe, and separately cement the top "cap" to the inner small diameter pipe. I did this, but the problem I had was cementing these two assemblies together once the vent was in the roof. The fitting where the two fit together is now *inside* the vent, at the very bottom, so I ended up having to fabricated a small pole with a cement applicator attached to the end so that I could lower it down into the vent to apply the cement. It would have made *much* more sense to first cement the small diameter pipe to the "wye", and then the large diameter pipe to the "wye". Then after putting this assembly in place through the roof (or wall), finally cement the "cap" to the small diameter pipe which is readily accessible. Hope this small tip saves someone else the hassle.
