Taun FROSST: I had to wait for the OEM parts to come in from back order. Not universal to my boiler system.

glass addict: This universal replacement has a larger ceramic core so it will not fit into the furnace hole, the hole has to be drilled larger to fit it.

Tim Van Allen: I just moved into my house a little over and the furnace is an 18 year old Armstrong. I was planning to replace it at the end of this winter anyway but the ignitor went out a couple days ago.
This one fits perfectly in the spot for the old ignitor and it heats up just fine but it's too short for my application. The metal bracket on the ceramic part doesn't move at all. I rigged up something up to lower it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to use my own wire nuts because the ones that come with it just suck.

Richard D Lambert: Furnace failed, I couldn't find a pilot light so figured was electronic ignition and not real comfortable w/electroncsI hadn't worked with furnaces so called the HVAC folks. Seventy dollar "house call" to ID the problem. He kept wanting pointing to the circuit board as the problem, I saw indicators it was just the ignition... After lots of steering him that direction he finally pulled the ignitor, and sure enough, it was bad. Looked to be a real simple part, he called his shop, they had none, "he hadn't seen any just like mine", they wouldn't be able to order til Monday.. This was Friday p.m. I asked him what it was going to cost to replace... 50-100 for the ignitor, 100 to 150 for labor. He left for the weekend.
On Amazon, found this universal ignitor in about 3 minutes. Looked like dimensions correct so decided it was worth the risk if it might save 150+ and I didn't have to be cold all weekend. Ordered fast so I could get it Saturday (today). This morning dug deeper on Amazon and found the exact part instead of a universal, but had already ordered so crossed my fingers.
This afternoon, the universal ignitor arrived. I needed to take off one little tab on one of...

Dean: I bought this to replace the carbide ignitor in my Intertherm M1MB series furnace. I was getting a "weak flame" indicator, when the flame was obviously not weak. I had already replaced the ignitor several years ago when the old one shattered. This one is the same size and fits in the same position, however, I had to drill a new hole and use a nut and bolt to install it in the right position, since the holes on the bracket didn't match the hole on the flame assembly. Also, I did not use the janky wire nuts, I soldered the wires to the existing connector and heat shrinked them. This is my main beef with this part, that it doesn't come with the correct connector, but for the price, I can't complain. After installation it worked perfectly.

Sarah: Great phone for the price. Start up is a little slow and the battery could be a bit better other than that I'd recommend this phone to anyone who just needs a large screen that likes to serf the web and play the odd abgry bird game It's great cheap option.

Mike: Installed the ignitor into a Trane high efficiency furnace that kept sending 110V to stock 90V ignitors and blowing them, had to splice in stock ignitor connection and installation took 20 minutes, furnace fired up no damage to board no resistance issues and it has lasted 2 weeks so far, also has shielding around the nitride to keep dust debris off it, you should check your furnace stock ignitor voltage before buying mine when board working properly is 90V which wouldnt be enough power for this ignitor, due to my board being defective however 110V comes out and fires it everytime, hoping this keeps me going for more than a month

KenKen: I purchased this to replace the electric ignitor in my Gibson furnace (circa 2015). Lifespan is apparently 5 to 7 years on these new nitride ignitor so it failed "on time" at 7 years. This was a very simple 1 bolt replacement but did involve stripping and directly connecting two wires via pigtails using ceramic caps provided.
Note that in my case, diagnosing the corrosion was possible with a flashlight after removing main panel. The corrosion prevented the ignitor from functioning RELIABLY and it worsened over time. My HVAC guy failed to find it the times so I found it myself (not calling him back). DON'T FORGET TO CUT POWER TO THE FURNACE BEFORE ACCESSING THE ELECTRIC INTERNALS! IF NO SWITCH AT FURNACE, CUT THE BEAKER (OR ALWAYS CUT THE BREAKER!).

Jonathan B. H.Jonathan B. H.: Alright, the biggest purpose for this review it to provide packaging and manual documentation for future buyers that are looking for a replacement ignitor and are just not sure if this will work for you because of the lack of images provided from the seller.
That being said, this product is an exact replacement for whe ignitor that the previous home owner installed some time ago. It is exactly what I needed to fix my furnace in a time of need. Product came on time and was quick to install. As for its longevity, still unknown to me, but the previous ignitor installed (looks like the same brand and model) was installed before I moved into this house 3 years ago. So, a $20 replacement every 3 or more years doesn't seem like a big inconvenience. I might order one as a standby unit for the 'just in case moment.
