J. Morgan: Disclaimer: I use these as TRAUMA SHEARS.
They're decent, however just a tad smaller than regular trauma shears. After almost a year of use they're still sharp enough to do ER tasks (cut clothes, bandages, orthoglass), but definitely loosening up and rendering them less effective. I hate when material gets caught in between the blades, and that happens most of the time now, and did even a bit at the beginning. I may try taking a hammer to the pivot to see if I can tighten it, but I'm not optimistic.
If you're an ER person and do the whole hemostat/tape role sheath thing for your shears (if you do it you know what I'm talking about), these are just small enough to get stuck IN the tape roll when you try to pull them out, and so it slows down the draw. The standard ones sit just above the tape roll. Hard to explain, but if you do it everyday you know what I mean. Overall very effective as long as you keep them tight and maybe bend the blades so they touch all the way down. I still prefer the black NAR full size shears over these, but not by much.

Alexander: I work for a private ambulance company and I run anywhere between 1-12 calls in a 12 hour shift. I bought these after taking two calls back to back where I needed my sheers to work and the performed lack luster at best. They had black handles, so they got lost very easily at night and the metal was cheap. On the first call they got left behind but a police officer was able to bring them to the hospital. On the second call when trying to cut through a hoody, and a t-shirt at the same time they just quit working. When waiting at the ER for my partner to finish the report I got online and bought these.
They came in a simple package, but from the moment I held them in my hands, they felt great. Cheaper sheers have play and the two blades aren't sturdy. These are the exact opposite, they have NO play in the blades are the non-serrated side is VERY sharp. The handles are a dense plastic/rubber material with a softer rubber on the inside so you're hands don't get beat up as you cut with them. These are also on the smaller side which is nice due to not taking up a lot of room wherever you decide to store them (hip, side pocket, bag, etc). Lastly they are coated in a special coating...

Art-the-Mouse: I wanted to get a "better" set of trauma shears than some of the other ones I've had over the years.... and this is definitely it! Not that shears are a 'heavy' item, but the lesser weight of the titanium is noticeable. Nothing fancy, but they fit well in my (larger) hands, cut well and have a nice and tight 'action', and the red trim makes them look kinda snappy!
Once again, they are shears... I've had $2 scissors to $20 scissors and with little exception, not a whole lot of differences.
But these ARE better than the average shears and I bet much better lasting and rust/stain proof.... now if I can just keep from loosing them to 'sticky-fingers'.....
UPDATE: Just bought a Leatherman Raptor... doesn't change the quality of this product... but it's a whole different ball game now. REALLY, you gotta get a set... do yerself a favor.
ALMOST 4 YEARS ON... THESE STILL CUT LIKE THEY'RE BRAND NEW!

Richard E. Bayer: Pros: Cut through 3/4" PVC tubing cleanly and safely. Treads where other scissors fear to go. These are far safer and more effective than most things advertised as tube or hose cutters.
Cons: none
Other thoughts: I should have purchased these years ago.
Update: Nearly 2 years later I broke these through the thumb piece cutting a notch in a plastic utility bucket for a power cord on a pond pump. This was my dedicated PC water-cooling scissors and the bucket is to clean parts. Before lecturing me, I realize these were not designed to cut a PVC bucket but they had not failed me yet. The blades are fine but the titanium metal inserts only a short way into the plastic thumb piece. If you are cutting something like a PVC bucket and can't control the angles well then it is easy to place too much force on the thumb piece. It snapped where the thumb piece becomes 100% plastic. The titanium blades remain fine but it no longer works as a scissor. I may order another pair because they are inexpensive and I really stressed them.
Perhaps the next upgrade is Kevlar cutting scissors/shears so will try those - never know when I may need to cut another notch in a utility...
