ML: Had a Chicago Cutlery knife like this for years. Lost it. Was so happy when I found its replacement on line. It is my husbands go to in the kitchen. The old one gave us years of service. This one acts like it will too.
Love it. Feels good in your hand and keeps its sharpness.

I love it but wish it come in a longer inch: The length of blade,I use it to pare, slice different things.

Amazon Customer: I received one of these 40 years ago as a shower gift and was so excited to find it again and buy another one. The first one is still usable but the wood has worn. Hand wash this knife if you want the wood to stay looking new. This is the best knife for coring apples and removing rind from melons as it is so easy to maneuver.

Freestone: Have used and loved these little paring knives many years and so glad they are still available. Getting another today as canning season is on and now that I have more helpers I need a couple more good paring knives! If you take good care of them they will last many years. Wash by hand, dry and rub oil onto the handles. Dishwashers and detergent and drying agents are terrible on wood knives so please don't put these in the dishwasher. I have two of these that are probably over 20 years old and just showing a little wear in the handle from being used so much. Oil them with the same oil you use for cutting boards or wooden salad bowls, etc. I oil them every few times I wash them - just rub a little knife or cutting board oil in with a soft cloth - a piece of clean old t-shirt works great. I also wash and treat them with several applications of oil before even using them (let it soak in then apply more) and that really helps keep them nice. I especially like how this size fits my small - medium size hand and the teens appreciate this too much easier to hold and control various cutting and pealing techniques.
