Steven SSteven S: As others have mentioned you are not gonna win any bass competitions. That being said this is perfect for those that want a stealthy system and/or don’t want to lose cargo space in the back while adding low end to a system (what I did). Certain tracks I will turn down at red lights because I know my bass is loud enough to travel. There is plenty of room for spare tire lid to close as I tried to show in photos. I had to cut down the mounting bolt because it was too long and I couldn't secure speaker with wingnut.

Quality: seems very well built. This is a solid unit with some weight. I installed myself with no problems to a factory head with factory speakers. Sound quality is also on par with Cerwin Vegas history in the business. I kept my woofer remote near center console for the first month dialing in my sound. Now I keep the remote hidden in my armrest and just adjust bass on head unit and its working out great.

RatedZRatedZ: Wanted to keep my limited trunk space in my 2 seater 300zx. My Z badly needed some lows to fill in my component speakers. I didn't want to get under the seat speakers cause they're just a too weak to fill in the sound.

This isn't for bass competition stuff. Know this going in.

I'm in my late 40s but wanted to get a full compete sound from an actually subwoofer this does a great job. Now I have a well rounded system that sounds complete.

Thankfully they made this shallow version because the original version the carpet would not lay flat.

You can see in the pictures this fits perfectly and carpet lays flat without and modification

Only thing done was had you cut the original provided rod cause it was too long.

You can just go to a hardware store and buy a shorter one or buy a shorter one online.

Great product and solves my subwoofer issue I had for many years with my 300zx.

KevinKevin: I was able to install this while doing a load of laundry. It fit great in my 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback.

I replaced dual 12" subs that took up half my trunk with a single 12" sub that fits neatly inside my spare tire and under the trunk floor. I took the opportunity to rerun and tidy up all the wires running from the stereo back to the trunk. The guy who I bought this car from had all the wires running together down the driver side -- That's a no-no. You separate the power wire from the audio wires on opposite sides of the car -- and used self-tapping screws to attach the ground wire to the trunk floor instead of the rear seat bolts that are readily accessible 🤦🏻‍♂️ I did not buy any sound dampener so I used some leftover flooring underlayment in the meantime 💁🏻‍♂️ All that's left to do is to solder and heat shrink the wire connections and cut the threaded rod that holds it all down tight.

Now I'm ready to go to Ikea.
