SweenDog1: Readily hooked up on high level speaker posts from R-L output of classic Pioneer SX450. Provides very good bass boost for acoustically starved, small office environment while complimenting existing Micca 6” 2-ways. This down-firing version allows for more flexibility in placement, as well as, slight advantage in amp power. Just be very careful when handling, as down firing woofer cone has no protection from objects or other impact damage.

Mudslide Slim: I didn't want to spend a fortune on a sub to help out my bookshelf (Klipsch) speakers. This fit the budget and does not disappoint. It's a nice looking, well constructed, and relatively compact unit. It delivers good bass and definitely improves sound quality. An audiophile with a higher end system might want something with a bit more power and resonance, but this works just fine. My only criticism is that the instructions come in micro-print. Almost impossible to read, but hook-up is otherwise easy.

Seul: Reviewing audio stuff is hard! Everyone's ear is different. Everyone's taste in sound is different. Everyone listens to different genres etc. Other people have gotten all technical on this guy, so no reason for me to do that. So that said .... here's what I would want to know, now that I own it, if I was contemplating buying it again. Why so long? So you can understand where I'm coming from and triangulate that with your own expectations from this sub.

Sound quantity fist. For a 6.5" it is makes some pretty low sounds. It makes quite a lot of such, actually - it surprised me. In a large room, like 20x20, I imagine it will get dwarfed if you have large mains. But why would you do THAT!! I have a couple 12" subs for those rooms. So for what one would get a 6.5" (or other small - <10") sub for, like pairing with 4" bookshelf speakers, this one makes plenty of noise for me. I have it nearly turned all the way down in my 10x10 home office. It's playmates include some Micca MB42x, all currently running off a little (surprisingly good-for-the-price) Douk tube amp. Basic "office" bottom-dollar-almost-but-not-quite-audiophile sort of setup.

Now for the sound quality. Hmmm....
