Tony: The ace is really nice. I was concerned about the sturdiness but all segments screw in ice and tight which gives is a solid feel. Flint, steel, sharpening oil and whistle are nice additions. My only complaint is that the knife doesn’t screw into anything. Meaning a handle segment cannot be used to add a handle to the knife. It just pushes into one of the segments for storage. It’s odd because there are threads on the knife but it doesn’t fit any into any of the segments. Based on the size of the knife, without anything to screw it into, it kinda makes it worthless. Also, the knife piece rattles a bit when stored in the handle. Just a touch bit more engineering and this would be complete.

Evan D.Evan D.: This is a sweet little toy right here. I love the multifunctional construction and the ease of the use. I did have to oil the thread of the knife portion to get it in the handle but that was my only struggle. I tried chopping a tree outside my house and the blade did start rotating in my hand at the connection. I also think this might have been due to me being a lefty. I’m gonna give it a better test soon but all in all, I like this product a lot. Great for camping and stuff but I bought it for a bug out bag/emergency bag.

kylekyle: I bought this ax for a blade/hammer combo. All of the other stuff was just a bonus.
Initial impression is it’s heavier than anticipated and has a solid/durable build. I think I’m going to have to put a lot of effort into breaking it. lol
It came with a medium sharpening stone/oil which was a nice surprise, don’t recall that being in the bio.
The other stuff... the compass is total trash, doesn’t point anywhere, just bobbles around, so don’t buy this for that. The knife is small, there’s a clothes pin in my picture for reference. It should be durable as long you only use it for light work and don’t throw it. But don’t buy this ax for the knife. Flints cool, window break is cool.
I don’t think this ax will be able to split large logs, making kindling shouldn’t be an issue.
Overall I’m happy with it, the weight isn’t a big deal and I know the sun is south of me.

LordOfLard: I love the light weight of this multi tool. It feels solid, but I do have concerns with a tool that you swing to drive tent stakes or chop wood is decomposable into parts by unscrewing the handle. Let me start with what's good:
1. I have a 12 by 12 foot tent and the stakes for the tent are large an wide. Using the back end of the hatchet, you can drive these stakes easily. The tool is compact enough and of a proper weight to generate a good amount of force with one hand.

2. I have used the the side with the blade to chop wood. The blade is sharp enough to get through wood pieces (Ponderosa Pine) that are about 3 to 4 inches in diameter and you can get a decent sized chip with every swing.

3. Do not rely on the compass at the bottom of the handle - YOU'LL GET LOST! Does not point within 135 degrees of Magnetic North. Buy a REAL compass for that.

4. In my haste to throw out the packaging, I apparently threw out the fire striker! No review on that, because I never used it. This also had the emergency whistle on it, so that's two strikes against me in this review.

5. I've not driven my car under water yet, so I've no need to use the glass breaker to exit...
