Sue: Have a new cat who does not tolerate one of our dogs. Was using a baby gate and watching all 3 cats jump repeatedly over it. BF did not want to invest in another gate. This gate arrived and required no set up (we did not choose to use screws in doorway.) It was easy to adjust. Fits securely. Cats love their little cat door. BF is impressed with it. Says it’s better than the old one we spent 3x the price on. A win-win at this house.

haunted_toastie: I got this to keep my 2 small dogs out of the cat trays. We have the trays in a little nook and this fits the gap (wider than a standard door) perfectly. My cats are larger than my dogs so they jump over the gate no bother but it really foils my dogs.
I use the little feet screwed onto my wall which the gate then pressure fits into. This stops anyone leaning on the gate to push it over.
It's very easily removed and refitted which makes changing the litter trays etc very quick.
All round ideal for what I needed it for, and allows us to step over to get into the cupboard that's also in the little nook.

Ren: Easy to set up and measurements appear accurate. Feels pretty sturdy once it’s tightened according to the directions. Feels well made and looks nice.
I’m an amputee and it was important that I could easily step over the gate. I’m 5’0” and can easily step over the gate even when carrying a laundry basket.
My small dog could jump a different short gate I had gotten, but can’t jump this. My senior shepherd husky mix also can’t jump it, but a spry dog easily could jump or step over it. My cats can still jump it to access the room, which is great for my needs! 🙂

Braveheart: Needed something that was not high so that it was easy for me to step over. I have a dog sitting service and even the large dogs will not jump over the gate because we use the gates at the bottom or top of the stairs indoors.
I have not used it outdoors on the deck steps so I am not sure how it would hold up to rust. It is painted and looks nice.
I like that that it works on compression and not have to screw anything in. It’s easy to use, light and well designed. I use it at the top and bottom of our indoor steps. The design to lock and unlock is easy to use.
I like the rubber on the sides so it is gentle on the walls or whatever material you are putting it against.
Only thing I would say to improve is to have some kind of rubber on the bottom so as not to scratch the floor but it can easily be improvised with tape or some other material. .

Jan: We already had a two-year-old dog and then we adopted a rescue cat from a hoarding situation and gave him one room in the house to decompress in for 2 weeks. We borrowed a baby gate from a friend so that the dog couldn't go in there and annoy the cat, but it was a pain taking the gate on and off to let the cat out for a while each day. I saw this on Amazon and figured what a perfect solution it can just stay up and the cat can go in and out when he wants to. I didn't give a high rating to how easily the little door locks or unlocks because frankly we don't use it, we actually secured it to be open at all times. I have issues with my hands, and I found it actually fairly easy for me to pop the gate into the door frame and take it back out again much easier than the baby gate we have been using. If we have to leave the house for the day, we just close the solid door behind the baby gate so the cat can't roll around the house when we're not home for the day and he has his litter box and food and water in his room. Tinx: This has been ideal for my dachshunds. We could leave the full gate up as it's easy enough to step over and can leave the little door open for them during the day. If we do move it, it's SO easy with a couple of twists and away it comes with no marking the wall. If you have a dog that jumps, then this would only be suitable for a puppy.

Storm Brandon: Easy to set up and firm fitting. Easy step over gate even for kids- perfect when my sausages were puppies, but now easily jumped over lol short legs but long bodies 😆 the little gate is good but won't shut without you pulling the latch open, and doesn't stay open, just flaps there. In all, happy with these!
