Canon ImageFORMULA DR-C225 II Professional-Grade Office Document Scanner

kol: Easy, fast, relatively quiet, small footprint. The usual high quality from Canon. I have 2 other scanners (a Canon flatbed and a Doxie). This Canon is fabulous.

HiottHouse: Once I figured out the best way for me to work this, it has been wonderfully beneficial. It's done everything I need it to. and I think it will do more with more learning of the software. But for right now I am very happy with it as it is. I haven't needed to extrapolate from a receipt, but the clear images created in this will make doing that a breeze. It is making quick work of transferring those large medical documents.

Christine: The scanner scans quickly and has very good quality. The 2 things I think are most important. It was also easy to set up and use. I’m actually thinking of buying a second one for another computer station at my office.

Darryl L. Rowe: Been using it for a couple years I think, with FileCenter DMS to organize personal and work life and even some school classes. Everyone else at work likes these personal desktop scanners. I saw Amy using hers and then Allen....and well, then I bought my own.

Atlanta Family: If your scanning needs are like mine, I can quickly explain why I believe the Canon DR-C225 II is the best scanner for you. I’ve tested this DR-225, the Canon imageFORMULA R40, and the Epson WorkForce ES-400 II. Let me explain how I use a scanner so you can judge the relevance of my comments for your decision. I only use my scanner to archive (i.e., go paperless) and email hard copies of docs. Usually I scan a page or two, but sometimes I'll scan 500 pages or even more. All my docs go to PDF format. I rarely scan photos, but if I do, I’ll use the flatbed on my multifunction printer. (If I have lots of photos I use scanmyphotos.com. They are great.) I do not need wireless. You may think that you’re not going to use a scanner that much. I would encourage you to be openminded. Once you get it, you might use a scanner much more than you think you would.

I started with these three scanners because they are in my price range, they are highly rated, and they use TWAIN drivers. (TWAIN drivers are a somewhat important consideration.
