Dion: Outstanding device. Very easy to use and I get the :pin seeker" buzz about 75% of the time I shoot a flag. Really cool feeling and helps you feel confident as you pull the club from the bag knowing you have the right one. Slope calculation is really great on the course I play and can make 5 or six yards of difference between true distance and distance with slope included. Can't use the slope (red) lens cover in tournaments but it's full on for the everyday round. High quality construction, great feel and nice case with quick access strap make it a breeze to use. I just clip it to my bag and go. As light fades, click the slide tab on the back to the right for red LED display, making it super easy to read the distances. Definitively a must if you can make the investment.

Zack: If you are looking for a range finder look no further, this thing is the beast at what it does. It provides slope reading, allows you to switch between plates for tournament and normal play, jolts whenever the reading is taken, and easily allows you to get readings to layup distance or water if ever needed by just zapping an object nearby.
A friend of mine bought a GPS watch and after using my Tourx immediately regretted his purchase because even at times the GPS reading would be off, where as the Tourx not only gives you exact distances gives you the option to hit alternate objects as well such as getting out of trouble or laying up.
When I play without this device I am lost, it is amazing the strokes you can save by learning your club distances and understanding how illusive the pin positions can be. The slope is also extremely beneficial when either playing down hill or uphill lies, yes you may subtract or add a club. But what if you dont know the pin position? This is where this device really earns it keep.

Donald D Napier: So much more accurate than the Sat based systems.
I can now hit with confidence to the pin.
it is sometimes difficult to use with a complex back ground but common sense should prevail.
One of the best investments any golfer can make and saves you time getting pars instead of bogies

Matt: I purchased this this week and used it for the first time on friday. I compared the distanced with my GPS just to be sure I could trust it. It cam in VERY handy. ( GPS only gives distance to center of the green and its a SWAG to figure pin placement distances front or back with a GPS) I played with 3 of my buddies yesterday. It was SUPER handy on par 3's and approaching the green ( obviously ). On particular Par 3 was over a marsh a little down hill. The flag stick was only visible by about 8 inches below the flag because of the growth of the Marsh and the front pin placement. Yardage markers on the Tee box showed 159. GPS showed 158. Rangefinder showed 122 yards. Huge difference in club selection. Turns out the rangefinder was spot on. Obviously this was a LONG green. I have been using GPS for over 4 years. The Range finder is awesome for approach shots!

Amazon Customer: Ive been using a Nikon Monarch 6 x 21 laser rangefinder for about 11 years with marginal success ranging to golf pins/ flags. I thought I would try Bushnell since some of my golfing buddies spoke highly of them. I played in a tournament today (using the black face plate) and was very impressed with this unit. It ranged all 18 flags (with jolt) up to 266 yards and many other distances around flags to confirm carry distances and so forth. The flag sticks were plain-- without prisms. I wasn't sure I'd really like this unit when I pulled it out of the box yesterday, but today it performed perfectly. I'm a believer. There is no comparison to the old Monarch (its retired!).
I have also used GPS units such as Skycaddie and Bushnell which I like, but I have noted a few discrepancies with them on some courses (I have literally confirmed distance variances of more than 10 yards between a GPS and a laser on the same hole... that's a different club selection). The smart phone GPS apps were slow in updating distances. The Bushnell Tour X is definitely a great product.. small and light weight, very accurate, easy to use, and comes with a very nice case. I'll update this review when I test...

James C. Petersen: I had the Patriot last summer, but turned it back in because I was getting a lot of false readings because of all the trees on our course.
Even though this Bushnell is a lot more expensive I really love it. Yes, from time to time, I get a few false readings, but I just point it again and within no time I get a correct reading. I have the Skycaddie SG4 so I can verify the results on my Bushnell, but with this Tour X Jolt I can find any distance anywhere on the course such as sand traps, trees, and where the ball lies on the course. I am still working with the slope adjustment. I think it really does give the true distance. I will use the slope feature when I practice and then will be able to compare the two. Also, I like the 6X magnification part.
Bottom line-this is a great device. It has made a huge difference in what club I select from 60 yards to over two hundred yards.
Buy it-you won't be disappointment.
