The features are fantastic, it even takes into account the climate conditions, which any self-respecting golfer absolutely needs to do. It's the difference between breaking 100 or not :-). In all seriousness, this is a great range finder that has slope and tournament mode as easy as sliding a switch on the side. Another great feature is the magnetic back for storing on the riding cart roof support. Very convenient. Oh, and it's waterproof. Great range finder. Worthe the $.

Kevin Lee: Now. I'll be completely honest, There's no way that I would ever buy this for myself. 600 bucks just to splurge on a rangefinder is way too much money.
But if you intend to give this as a gift, like I did for my dad. Then this is a perfect gift. Sometimes with gifts, price doesn't matter. And if your parents or someone special plays golf. Then this will be something they treasure for years to come.
Let's be real, golfers will go through multiple sets, maybe some new putters here and there. But a rangefinder? If you give them this one. You'll know it'll be a great gift as long as they don't lose it.
My dad's a manly man, doesn't show much emotion but if he brings this rangefinder gift up to me whenever I come visit and catch up. Then this rangefinder must be pretty damn good.
I recommend as a gift, if you're balling then by it for yourself.
But as a gift. It's worth the 600 bucks.

M. Mugler: i'm a 14 handicap. I use a Garmin golf watch when I play. For years I would say that I don't understand why someone would use a rangefinder instead of a more convenient watch. My wife gave this to me for Christmas. Now I use both! I love this rangefinder. It's bright, accurate, and the addition of slope and elements( barometric pressure and temperature) is unique and helpful. The magnification and clarity is very good. Who needs measurements to the yard? Well, this gives it and adds a plus or minus for slope and elements. So , it's not unusual for me to favor a different club or try to get a little extra distance out of the usual club when the rangefinder has added 4-6 yards to the actual distance. I'm no scientist, but it seems to work as advertised.
That being said, unless you have the money, let's face it, it's a bit of overkill. But it's fun and useful.
It's heavy but very solid and it has a very strong magnet that will stay where you put it. I played with a guy who had a much lighter Bushnell without the new bells and whistles or magnet. I used his and mine in comparison. His was much lighter and didn't shake when i used it, which was a plus for his model. But, I prefer...

jay: I always seek the best for my golf no matter what it is, hence why new Bushnell. Previously I had Pro X2, now I think it is actually better product then Pro XE. Reasons, firstly hate the new case the previous was much better so don’t really know why change something good and focus on improving the legal competition technology. Used the Pro XE in one round on first 9 the pin seeker only locked once pretty poor performance, had this sometimes with the Pro X2 but not as bad, tested them both in the same course the same playing condition. Forget, if a little foggy or misty conditions, does not measure at all. However, the build casing and quality feel is a top class. Magnetic tech I think is pretty poor as don’t think it is practical. Measuring new technology is illegal in competition anyway so why to pay for something you can’t use in competition. I am returning this item as not worth for the price tag and disappointed Bushnell as I don't mind to pay but need to se reasons why...don’t think this is the case. Focus on anti fogging technology, improve jolt and locking, and stabilising image like new Nikon has ....

Brian Stoneman: I bought this after sending back my Precision Pro NX7 with slope which was throwing up a lot of bad distances, would not fixate on the pin etc etc
This Bushnell is so much better in every single way.
Build quality is incredible - it feels exceptional in the hand
The speed at which its gets the distance is incredible - i mean under half a second
Accuracy is second to none
7 x zoom really helps ALOT to focus on the pin
Barometric readings are a joy
Should have bought Bushnell first time but I tried to save money and go elsewhere. Wont ever do that again.

Biff Johnson: I've had my last range finder (Bushnell Pinseeker 1500) for over 12 years but it recently is having hard time locking on pins. At first I thought is me getting older at 66 years of age. But when I tried newer range finders that my friends played I had an easier time. So - which one to buy as there are so many out there cheaper than Bushnell. I read tons of reviews and tried out many but ended up selecting Bushnell's top of the line Pro XE because my last one lasted fore 12 years and has served me very well. The newer model is smaller but very fast to lock onto the pin - even when you have hills or trees right behind the green it is very easy to lock onto the pin with confidence. The optics are crystal clear. When reading reviews I saw that people were not always able to get the visual red ring and vibration affect when locking onto pins. I concur with this finding as it does not always work, however, it still locks on the target and you know with confidence that its accurate as you can easily select a target behind the pin and compare - its that fast! My hands are at times a little shaky when targeting longer distances (over 200 yards), but the laser feedback is so fast that all I...

JOSE MARTINEZ-CAMPOS: Really accurate readings including the slopes. I have not yet being able to evaluate how the weather changes affect distance calculation since I just bought it during the summer time. The pin seeker functionality does not work that well for me. Only on a few occasions the device vibrates to indicate it has effectively 'seen' the flag but, I still get accurate readings of the flag anyway without the vibration. So a feature that does not seem to work all he time but does not compromise the accuracy of it.

kawasr: Very pleased with Rangefinder and great customer service. Matt was very responsive to questions I had. They even discovered the zipper on rangefinder case was broken before shipping, and immediately remedied it and had a new case shipped to me. Will definitely not hesitate to purchase from them again if the need arises!!
