Bushnell Tour V3 Patriot Pack Golf Rangefinder is one of the best rangefinders on the market. This rangefinder offers an ergonomic design that provides a firm and comfortable grip, making it easy to use. It also features Bushnell's Jolt Technology that delivers short vibrating bursts to reinforce the laser for more accurate readings. Additionally, it comes with a high-quality carry case that offers safe storage and transportation, making it the perfect choice for golfers who are looking for a reliable rangefinder. With its build quality, easy-to-use design, and customer support, the Bushnell Tour V3 Patriot Pack Golf Rangefinder is the ideal choice for any golfer.Concerned Citizen: I like it but it is hard to get used to when you have a lot of trees behind the green. Cannot get it locked in. I am using in tandem with my SkyCaddie right now. Yardages are very similar. I was looking to replace SkyCaddie with this device. Skycaddie has the most obnoxious customer service you could ever deal with. They have their rip off repair business model, and subscription pricing which is pricey. I will continue to work with the Bushnell to see if I can get better with it. Great for driving range, Skycaddie cannot help there at all!

D.D.: Excellent range finder at a good price. The patriot pack is well worth it for the rubber cover. I previously owned a Bushnell from the 2010 time frame, but it recently quit working. I wasn't too bothered by this as it had been beaten up pretty good over time. I felt like I got my monies worth. This new unit is far superior to the old one. It is much lighter and more compact, and is much faster and easier to get a measurement. I prefer the "upright" design as you can hold it in one hand and get a reading with no issues. The old unit was one that you held in a horizontal position and required two hands.
Love the jolt feature that tells you when you have a good reading. As mentioned earlier, the blue cover is a great addition in my mind. It provides additional protection and additional grip. The bright blue is great for spotting the unit. No more leaving it in the cart by accident at the end of the day. If you were to leave it laying in the fairway, etc., it is clearly visible from a distance as well. The cover is also translucent, which I also find to be a good feature. I applied a silver golf club label to the unit itself and this is clearly visible through the cover.

David C.: I started looking for a rangefinder for my daughter looking to make the high school golf team. I'm old school and would march off yardage using the standard markers on the course, but hey, we're in the 21st century, right? I bought a $99 (on sale, reg $149 on Amazon shortly after) rangefinder that had good to great reviews from golfers, but you get what you pay for. There was no image stabilization, therefore, no way to lock on a target. It had 50/50 odds on locking on a flag and I sometimes would have to "spot" objects in front and behind the green and guess at pin yardage. The process was a good 10-15 seconds to make sure you had a good read. I couldn't let my daughter go through tryouts w/ that one. This is obviously more expensive (at ~$250) and justifiably so. A great target window locks with a vibration pulse on the flag within 2-3 seconds. The Nikon option had good reviews as well but this one was voted better. Bottom line; We love this one.

Jared B. Mason: I really love the V3. Reason i bought it was because i was tired of using GPS for approach shots near the flagstick. Most of the time i was getting green distance only from my GPS app, that didn’t give me a solid idea of what club to use. I’ve used the V3 twice, and have achieved positive results.
The V3 vibrates when you lock onto the pin. This is key when you have shaky hands or if you’ve got a group of trees behind the green. Simply point, activate laser and hold the button until you’ve got the pin in sight, and the V3 lets you know when its got a positive lock with its Jolt technology. On the course i was able to determine pin range at 300 yards fairly easily. Haven’t tried anything further than that, and don’t expect i’ll ever need to. But this one works up to 1000 yards according to the manual. You may need to use a two hand grip to keep it steady for anything over 300.
Even most golf cart GPS don't give you accurate range, just an approximation to the front, middle, and back green. Since hole placement changes, it is key to have one of these in your bag. On days where the grounds crew gets creative with pin placement, it can magnify mistakes on...

5ofakind: I paid a little more for this unit than a typical range finder because I trusted the reviews and the name. After spending over a year with the device, I am still happy and use it with every approach shot. The battery did die unexpectedly and I thought it was broken because there was no battery feedback or warning. I played the round and found myself pacing off markers or using GPS on my phone to get yardages like a caveman.
I am very happy, and I would recommend this to any avid golfer who likes to get over their ball and analyze the conditions, rather than spending that time pacing markers for yardage.
