JustBigHorse: My previous line had broken several times and had sagged, so the time had come to renew the line. The pack contains plastic fasteners that work well, so no knots required. Fitting the line was difficult and time-consuming, though, because each of the nine lines has to be tensioned individually and tightened one results in others needing adjusted consequently. To adjust a line requires lowering the whirlie to release tension then many repeated trial-and-error attempts. The whole process took me about three hours. I didn't complete the final loop on the fasteners in case further adjustment was required and they seemed secure, but the lines have now sagged, so I'll need to re-tension them again.

GRAHAM CARRINGTON: Bit of a job to fit, more of a job to tighten the fit leaving it slack. If your line is of any age and showing signs of failure, or the cover is starting to age badly, which they do. I suggest you buy a whole new linen line assembly and don't bother trying to fix it. Not a cheap item.

Mike H.: This kit has everything you need to replace the lines on your Brabantia (or other brand) umbrella style clothesline. The line I had had stretched and gotten mildew stains and weakened over the years. Ordered a new clothesline and then found this kit. I replaced all the lines and now I have two. This kit does make retensioning the lines easy, so if a one or two get stretched by heavy wet clothes you can adjust. Instructions are detailed and in several different languages, but if you read them carefully and follow them, they work just fine. You will need understand metric dimensions or convert them, easy enough on your phone. So now I have 2 clotheslines but we like to hang out clothes when possible to save money, now I can hang out 2x as many.

Politically what?: My concern for this is not really and issue with this product but for what I was suggested to use it for. I was told I could use this to re-string my Household Essentials Umbrella clothesline but it is way too think. The line that comes with that is only 1/16th. It is multiple strands of nylon covered in plastic. This makes it very strong to hold a lot of weight and it doesn't stretch but thin and flexible enough to make the turns and pull it tight when restringing those lines. This is entirely TOO THICK. I just wasted my money. IF anyone finds the replacement line for the rotary lines please go to those items and post a link. Thank you.

sallybee5: Wonderful to breathe new life into my no-longer-made umbrella style rotary dryer. This one stands on the ground instead of being planted, and I love it. It's 10 years old and the line was falling apart. The replacement line was simple to install and I have plenty left over for next time. It even came with these cool clips to hold it in place and tighten it over time, unlike the knots that were in it before.
