Skipper 56: Seemed like a great product at first and when testing on a workbench at close range - perfect conditions. But on the roof, stapling roofing felt or when stapling house-wrap at even a slight angle, forget it - the staples either get mangled or don't go all the way in. One has to hammer them in or take them out. I definitely will not recommend buying this product. And oh, the staples are not readily available in local stores (Canada). I had to buy on Amazon. Good luck!

Jeanne Cantrell: I am trying to roof and remodel my room addition to upgrade it. I bought a Stanley stapler and a DeWalt and neither gun would work. The Stanley did about ten or more staples and kept jamming and the DeWalt the same problem. Instead of heading back to the hardware store and buying nails to put into my plywood to hold the roofing paper down I wish I would have waited. I love this stapler and thanks to the reviews I bought the correct staples for the gun and I am elated. I can't wait to get into another project.

dan: I did some research on this product before I made the purchase and all the reviews stated to use the crown staples for it to work properly. I bought the crown staples and this tool worked fantastic. I had no problems with any jams, it worked each and every time. It is relatively light weight to use and I am so glad that I did not try to use a hand stapler instead. GREAT tool to have when working on the roof.

SalindasEssentials: If you are thinking that this looks like any regular tacker you would be correct on that thought, however if you buy a standard box of staples you will be sorely disappointed. In order for this hand tool to work at all, you will need to ensure to purchase special "power" crown staples for this model, something they left out in description but later found in fine print (Fine print "Power crown hammer tacker" ???) Nothing to hint that you needed different staples for this model (And they are hard to find and a "Online Purchase") . You may also want to know that this stapler only uses staples up to 3/8", something else they left out in the description. Other than buying 5000 of the wrong staples, it seems to be a very well built hammer tacker.

Turner D: I found a ton of the staples for this unit at a local Habitat for Humanity Restore, and found that the powercrown staples I found work fantastically with this.

It is very very easy to use, and I've found little effort is needed for it to actually work.

On a side note, if you ever put the incorrect staples in, it can jam, becareful what staples you use.

But a major plus for this unit, is there is a small little rod in the middle of the unit that you can remove, and everything will come apart and be unjammed, and it's simple to put back together.
