Cindy Ochoa: I love this series

Linda W.: I'm still enjoying every thrilling event in this series. Each book in this series has thrown me into a pensive mood about natural disasters and cataclysmic volcanic eruptions.

Tess: The beginning was as good as the first two but then it really slowed down and got pretty boring, not much is happening, then it did ramp up for the last few chapters but not enough for me to give it 5 stars. It’s still worth reading because initially it is brilliant and you need the rest of the story to understand what is going on for the last book.

Andrea: Each book maintains, if not exceeds, the terror, excitement, and anxiety from the previous book. Onwards to The final installment. A must read. Kudos Bobby!

Dave Henly: Very, very real - loaned the series to a neighbor and he couldn't read them because of the reality - he and his wife travel a lot in their coach and it frightened him; another author I read did a book on Mt. Rainier exploding, and the neighbor found that difficult to read as well because of the view of it from Vancouver.

Scott Osmond: Several weeks after the eruption of the Yellowstone volcano the ash fallout has begun to choke the world. Delicate machinery is clogged by particulate matter, the transportation grid has failed and just in time delivery has resulted in shortages. People however may become the greatest obstacle to survival. Released prisoners with nothing to lose and a toxic community bent on rationing everyone but the leaders show what can happen when things fall apart. I'll be reading the next one.

Trish557: I have really enjoyed this series, but it seems this book was released in a hurry, and not checked properly. There were so many grammatical errors, that it spoiled the book. I didn't notice that many errors in earlier books.

Please, please have your books properly edited. Using your instead of you're is so annoying, it makes you want to stop reading, and read something written properly!!

Patroo: The story goes on from the first volume, but the most horrifying stuff is the information about things that would quickly be affected. Evacuations on a mass level would be necessary...what do you do with the many prisons and their inmates? In this book, lesser offenders and those awaiting trial are quickly sent out the door, but even then it's the effect of turning hungry wolves loose in a flock of sheep. These people have nothing to lose and no reason to put on even a facade of being good citizens. They can prey freely on others who are unprepared or oblivious to the dangers.

What happens to law enforcement, fire, operators of utility services, the people who make decisions? A lot of them go home and look after their own families. Utilities close down to protect their equipment. Trucks stop running. Fuel, food, medical supplies, everything needed for everyday living, none of it gets where it needs to go. Refugee traffic blocks the highways, soon brought to a halt as cars run out of fuel.

People who work in emergency preparedness should read this, not necessarily for the dramatic storyline, but as a reminder of the breadth and scope of problems related to a major...

Denise KDenise K: The Yellowstone caldera is one of the biggest threats to mankind. One that could erupt at any time and put the survival of every living creature at risk of extinction. But the eruption of the massive volcano is not the only thing that is a threat to Jake and Ashby as they make their way to California and hopefully the safety of Mad House owned by Jake’s parents and then on to Saratoga. No, the ugly side of man has started to show. Those who haven’t prepared for an emergency are getting hungry and are looking for supplies and then there are those who are just out for themselves and just want to take what isn’t theirs. The action starts and never lets up in this, the third book in the series. The excitement of following along with Jake and Ashby is breath holding worthy and heart stopping at times as they fight for their lives against the degenerates that will stop at nothing to gain what they want. No place seems safe now and finding a safe haven seems like a dream but the two of them keep on going to where they hope to finally find security. Will they finally be able to let down their guard when they reach Fruitvale West, a gated community where Jake’s parents had lived,...
