Brent Vogl: I compared several models. Key points I look for are price, functionality, and latest technology. At the time of writing this I can say this checked all the boxes.
Not over paying for a name, setup in Windows 10 was a matter of plugging it in and it worked. No digging for drivers or any of that. Technology is the latest, they might have come out with one Bluetooth version newer but it's not come to dongles at the time of my purchase.
Price is very reasonable. I've connected my pixel 6 pro, a steel series controller and a PS5 dualsense controller quickly without issues. Can't go wrong with this Bluetooth dongle

JamesJames: So, where do I begin? The thing about this product which I feel is an issue is something that many people won't notice without diving deeper into the firmware/hardware properties. The first flag of something suspicious happened when I tried to install the product firmware/drivers. One of the products I use to protect my system is a program called "Hitman Pro", which is a wonderful program that helps protect your system from a multitude of attacks. The "Intercepted Attack" screenshot from the program, which originated from its "Exploit Mitigation" section, occurred the moment I tried to run the setup file. Following the Hitman Pro block I decided to install the drivers using the device manager to see if the device was legit. I plugged in the adapter, went to the Windows Device Manager, right clicked the adapter under the Bluetooth Section and went to the Driver section. I clicked "Update Driver" and pointed the destination to the drivers on the CD that came with the adapter. Voila! The adapter installed perfectly and the driver showed last updated Jan 2021 which looked great. So what's the problem you might ask? The problem is what I then discovered.
