D. Green: It does what it supposed to do just fine: It cleans up small area spills. Negative reviews that say it's not a professional cleaner are exactly right. It's not and it doesn't claim to be. Some reviews also say that it has insufficient suction. It's true that it doesn't produce a vacuum equal to that of interstellar space, but it's good enough to get the bulk of the water out of a cleaned space. If it's not, then it's bad quality control and needs to go back to the manufacturer. Don't break any of the accessories or hose -- AFAICT, replacement parts are tough to get.

Want a professional cleaner at professional cleaner prices? Get a Windsor, CleanFreak, or Sandia at 3-10x the price. This cleaner is made for small jobs that the dog or half full wine glass left you with.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Reason for the four-star less than 24 hours after I ordered it the price went down $10 which is very annoying. Also they need to clarify their listings as other reviewer‘s stated why would you state that the solution is for upright machines only when that is what you are sending with the portable??
Just received it only used it to test on a small area rug as you can see by the dirt it appears to work well also not very happy that the tank for the dirty water does not sit snug one side, there is a gap. Hopefully this will not give me issues down the road as I paid good money for this unit.

I’ve been thinking about buying this for a long time. I finally pulled the trigger, so I thought I would take the time to list my thoughts.

1. Yes, it works. I’m trying to get a few more years out of my furniture & I know there are some hot spots from my pups. I clean it by hand when I find them, but I know the smell is there. Over the years, the fabric has hardened (likely from cleaning agents) but the odor lingers for the dogs. I followed the instructions and worked on my chair. As you can see in the pictures, it definitely pulls the dirt/residue/hair out. The fabric is visibly cleaner and much softer.
2. One run is probably not enough if the fabric is dirty enough. I let my chair dry overnight, but woke to the smell of urine. It’s going to take several rounds of cleaning, but I’m very hopeful & pleased.
3. Yes, it leaks (as described by other users) - if they are talking about in the clean tank or somewhere else. Honestly, I don’t know how it couldn’t. If you look in the first picture (clean tank), you can see the mechanism. It’s similar to a Shark steamer - you turn the...

Matt Jarvis: I had a cat 6 years ago that would only use its litter box if I was home. Well I worked and it peed on the couch and around the couch. I have used rent-a-carpet cleaners a couple times. One time I tried just the areas that were stained with something that said it was good on pet stains and smells, totally frustrating because instructions made no sense. I think the stains were worse, although the smell was neutralized. The other time I just used an all carpet, bigger machine and while it worked to clean the carpet in general it did not get the stains out.

This Bissell was a very convenient size and the instructions were easy to follow and implement. Even better is the machine and the Oxy clean formula I ordered extra really did get the stains out. Even though I don't have much carpet in my house (plus I don't wear shoes in the house) I found the effectiveness and the ease worth the money.

Fred Garvin: I bought this to replace an aging SpotBot that was starting to leak and not work as well, after 5 years of pretty regular service. It was a great unit, the obvious advantage being you just set it over the soiled spot, press a button and walk away. It usually got it in one go, but sometimes it would take an additional cycle. As long as the soiled are was smaller than the circular brush area, good to go. Otherwise you'd have to reposition it and cycle again. It tended to leave little "clean" circles until you had your whole carpets cleaned.

Enter the SpotClean Pet Pro. This unit has plenty of solution and dirty water capacity. VERY strong suction for removing solution and staining. A quick spritz of pre-treat, wait a few minutes, then hit it with the brush. The solution sprayer is strong and goes deep. The suction is powerful and really pulls. The spoiled area is completely cleaned very quickly, and it's only the area you need to clean. I'm impressed. I'd rather have this manual system than the automatic SpotBot, simply for the precise cleaning and area you affect. It simply cleans better than the SpotBot.

Donna D.: The box came damaged. There was a note attached as it was a return. It was a USED return. I only discovered it was used when I went to use it and there was dog /cat hair. Unfortunately I needed to use it so I did not return it, otherwise I would of. I should get some money back!!!

PR: This is literally the first product review I’ve ever written. Quite frankly, I can’t be bothered. But I’ve been so impressed with this cleaner that my wife told me to write one.

We have a 7 month old bernadoodle puppy. I decided to by this cleaner… just in case. In the last month, I’ve used it to clean diarrhea, vomit and urine. It works like a charm. It’s easy and quick to use. I honestly have no idea how I would have cleaned the diarrhea off the carpet without this machine. As disgusting as it was, I had the carpet spotless in under 10 minutes.

And dare I say, it’s even kinda fun to use.

So there it is. My first review that my wife made me write. Hope this helps.
