Elija: Well worth the money! I have had this light since 2018 and it is still working wonderfully. I have it on my brackish puffer tank so it often ends up with some salt build up from my puffer splashing (he loves to splash or spit water at people going by to get there attention... smh). I also noticed better plant growth after adding these lights. I also really like the blue light for evenings/night.
The only reason for the 4 stars is because the metal brackets have started rusting and it's not really easy to find replacements. For now they are easy enough to remove and clean off the rust. I like these lights so much that I purchases another one for my snail tank as well. I highly recommend these. You really can't beat the value you get for the affordable price.

Nodima: Purchased a pair of 36" lights for a 6' aquarium, these ones have a very short cord, so that it is not possible reach the top of the tank when plugged into a power strip under the tank. The 3 previous beamswork lights I've purchased have had significantly longer cords where this was not an issue. Ended up purchasing extensions for the cords.
Even with that, I've been quite happy with these lights overall, they are a great value.

Merry Runaround: My fw 30 gal aquarium is 36 inches wide so I bought the 36 inch model. It fits perfectly with the adjustable "feet" set to the minimum width, and the LEDs span across 100% of the tank width. The light it provides is almost too much for the tank, so I would have been better off using one of the smaller sizes.
It has an attractive sleek profile, but it "leaks" a lot of light to areas outside the tank. I will probably rig some kind of simple shading for it.
The build quality seems excellent, even though the housing is plastic (not aluminum).
It has two distinct modes: One is 100% blue. The other is white+green+red. They have independent on/off so you can have all four colors on at once, if desired.
I installed the optional timer. I like that too. The instructions are obviously translated, but methods are clear and simple after reading them very carefully. There is a little bit of flexibility with the timer-- user can program one ON/OFF cycle for each mode independently. If the two program periods are set to overlap, it is possible to yield a sequence of up to four different light settings. That's enough to mimic a crude diurnal cycle. Minor downside: the...

AnonAnon: It maybe silly to think but I never thought of LEDS being able to grow so well. This thing however grows almost to well.
I use it with a 50gal planted tank. I have micro swords, rosette swords, amazon swords, anacharis, java fern, Moss balls, Rotala Macrandra and all are thriving without CO2 injection.
Now for the downsides-
The light promotes a lot of algae growth (not the lights fault per say) so I have mine raised a foot above the tank (not shown in the picture). This leads to the second problem, the light intensity can not be adjusted. If you could adjust it you could help the plants fight algae easier. I have tested and if you have a barrel connection with a plug that puts out a voltage less than 12v you can adjust the light output like that (be aware that to low of a voltage may cause damage).
Its still hard to beat this for the price but if they added a .20$ potentiometer and raised the price $10 then it would be a win win for everyone still.

Mama E: I've had this light for 4 years now and it is still going strong! I use it over my 38 gal tank. I have easy low light plants and they have always done fine. I've always run it over the tank cover for added protection so it still looks like new (unlike the cover that is coated in buildup!) Definitely a great buy for the price!
