R.L.B.: Got this to keep our new puppy out of the rooms with rugs. Our older dog somehow figured out how to open it without pushing down the button. For the most part it served it's purpose. It even stopped the grandkids from going into the other rooms. ☺

Scott X: First off, this gate looks nice. It's an appealing neutral color that goes well in a modern home. A lot of gates I looked at simply look very outdated and cheap. This gate doesn't look or feel cheap.

I was worried I'd need to drill into my staircase to get a good fit but this gate holds up well with the pressure mounts. Our toddler routinely leans up against it and we've never heard it budge.

Would I but it again? I think so. It doesn't come without issues; it squeaked after a few months of use (WD40 solved this) and it needs to be routinely tightened or the locking mechanism will fail. Still, against the alternatives, this is a good choice.

Richard W Dyer: I cannot say enough good things about this gate. It's very strong. My daughter bought a different style gate for the hallway and it is always falling apart. This one is tall enough and strong enough that the littles can stand on the bottom rail of the gate and it does not shift or move at all on the wall, nor do the pieces fall apart. It mounts in little round cups that are screwed into the door frame or into studs in the hallway so the gate does not shift when tightened into those little cups. It did squeak a little bit at the hinge so my grandson (4) and I sprayed it with a little Whiskey-Delta 40 and she's good to go. no more squeaks. He's 4 and he can't open it yet. Our 5 year old can, but just barely. It takes all his strength to get it open. lol.

Ladybug: I bought this for my Godson to keep him from the stairs and kitchen. Now he can wander and explore the house without any fear of falling down stairs. His parents love the gates and say they are easy to open.

Neil R. Richards: Nice fit, sturdy, looks nice, not too high.
Can also stay open if moved to full open position. This is handy when the gate doesn’t need to be closed.
I also bought wall protectors separately and fit good to prevent damage and slipping.
Read the directions a couple of times and my wife and I installed it successfully in around 20 minutes with no tools.

Bruce Levins: Very nice gate. Installed well, but keeping the extension in place while fitting it was a bit of a challenge. Would suggest using some take to keep it togeather as you install.

Tanya: This is a very nice looking gate to use for a doorway to keep the dog out of the room. It's tall enough to be a deterrent from him jumping over. The gate swings both ways which is handy and makes a nice click so that you know it's closed. It comes with caps that go on the pressure mounted screws. I don't understand why the caps aren't attached or fitted more tightly. The caps constantly fall off while you're trying to install the gate. Once installed it's fine. I lost 2 of the caps when I took the gate down since they're not attached, which is really annoying. It's simple to install by yourself other than the cap issue and looks good.

Debra Wilson: This gate way easy to assemble and fits snugly and securely against my wall just above the stairs and the spindle on the railing. I’m very happy with it. It’s easy to open with one hand but not easy enough for a child to figure out or manage. It is very nice looking.
