Oldshoes: Had this for 2 years - just bought it again. I did once avail the services of tech support - 5 stars. Uses alot of memory and cpu - but they all do now - guessing that's why i can buy 16gb of memory for less than what i used to pay for a 2 gig hard drive. Has on numerous occassions spotted and warned me of demon attacks. I don't use the VPN anymore - got to be too tedious. All in All - great product - And - can't beat the price

randy tomlinson: My desk top and phone. Too many pop up ads for b.s. stuff not wanted or needed. If you bought it all you could be spending well over $200 a month for product not needed. I'm thinking it's affecting the speed on my computer too. This is why I will not purchase McAfee Norton or the other big brand name. Kaspersky is my usual but I couldn't find a good deal in price. Kaspersky does a good job and don't slow things down. Sorry avg

Amazon1234: I used Avast before but decided to try AVG this time. Avast and AVG use the same engine, so the only difference is the GUI. Note, Avast bought AVG a couple of years ago. I think the AVG's GUI is slightly easier to use. When you do more advantages functions, like working with firewall rules, the GUI is identical and both are easy to use. AVG does not appear to be a resource hog. I haven't noticed is using a lot of processor time. Since it uses the same engine as Avast, I would expect not to be a resource hog.

I would buy either Avast or AVG again as both are decent products. I have installed AVG on Windows, Android, and IOS without any problems. You just need to add the license key and you can easily find instructions online for doing this. I bought the 10 device version and I learned with Avast that you need to track the systems that you install the product on. If you buy directly from the company, you can register each system with the company, so you will know how many licenses you used by checking online.

When you buy AVG 3rd party, you need to track each system. You also have to remember to uninstall the software if you are switching computers. If not you will not...
