ASUS USB-BT500: Upgrade Your Computer to Bluetooth 5.0 with This USB Adapter

Just some dude: Plug it in, recognized, didn't do a damn thing, works right away. Isn't it great when drivers are recognized and just mesh and work with the hardware? Worked great for a PC without built in BT.

But I also have a different PC with built in BT and it was struggling with some new headphones. I was going through all this troubleshooting then thought, wait, I have this dongle on a different system. Swapped it over and, bam, headphones worked. ZERO other steps required. The built in BT was a mess, and this guy superseded it and just worked. So I ordered a second and now both PCs are running their BT through them.

On the one hand, thank you ASUS for this great BT adapter.
But on the other hand, screw you ASUS for your motherboard's BT being janky garbage (lol)

Niko: I’ve had this for about 10 months now and highly recommend.

My work disables Bluetooth for security issues. This device is a great workaround that allows me to use my wireless mouse, keyboard, and noise canceling headphones. The only caveat is that I have to plug it directly into my laptop. Plugging it into the dock does not seems to work.

I’ve paired Bose, Microsoft, Sony, Logitech, and Apple products with it on a PC with no issue. With headphones, I can go into other rooms on the same floor and maintain connectivity on my headphones.

Silver Hawks: Product is great if you are only using Windows OS. It no longer works in MacOS starting with Monterey. I did not use it for any audio related purpose. So can't comment on the sound quality.

paco roman: La he empleado para activar bluetooth en un hackintosh. No ha sido necesario activar nada. En cuanto lo conecté al USB apareció disponible en las preferencias del sistema.
De vez en cuando da problemas de sonido con los altavoces externos, pero no he podido aún hacer pruebas suficientes para localizar si el problema es del equipo, del adaptador, los altavoces...
