Casey Michael Forner: I thought that my 2 way speaker simply wasn't projecting audio, but it turns out it is simply to quite to be heard from 6 feet away. Other than that, it works really well and has really good picture quality. Would but again for surveillance, but not for use otherwise.

Judith Davis: Make sure when changing/inserting the housing, ala, the camera and battery, push the white button in to secure the housing (camera/battery) the actual guts, or the housing will be loose and the battery will not charge. The white button to release, also helps lock it back in place.

t3d: As a user of Arlo cameras, overall 've found them to easily meet my security needs for my home and other locations. This camera is no exception. The arlo app and wireless setup made installation simple, allowing me to place them strategically outdoors without the hassle of wires. The video quality is very good, providing crisp and clear footage during the day, and the night vision works very well in low-light conditions. I generally prefer to use the IR night vision versus the color night vision, but both work really well. The motion detection is responsive, and quick to alert me to potential threats. I have not yet tried the low power mode but I am very interested to see how that works.The Arlo app is one of the better apps I have used and I have multiple camera security systems currently running. It's user-friendly and offers the flexibility to view live streams or to check past recordings from anywhere, when away from home or from other remote locations. I have not yet tried Arlo's integration with other arlo secuity devices since I currently use other systems for home security beyond arlo cameras. I would expecct the integration with other smart home devices and platforms...

Tasher: Gave this an average rating since I like the company and their ethics. Not too happy with the product. It needs to be connected to a slower WiFi for the better features with the service. This camera is able to work without using a hub, (plus +), but the Spectrum router we have doesn’t boost the signal well. This makes the device basically unusable at present since we constantly have to “re”-connect it aka go though the connection process over and over again. (Big minus -)
After about 10 days of use, the battery has just died. And while it is rechargeable, it is charged inside the camera, so the device has to come down to plug it in. (Another big minus -) I got a wall mount from a different co., and it’s easy to pop it off to charge it, but not easy enough to steal without effort. The magnetic mount that comes with it is not for outdoor use. Which was what I wanted this for. (Another -)
I did feel good buying from this company, Arlo, so I might see about getting a hub with an additional camera and use this one inside.

Steve Oh: Considered the Reolink 4K camera (the cheapest) ,the Ring HD 1080p spotlight camera (most expensive), and this Arlo Pro 4 2K (mid price). Didn't like the Reolink review comments on the phone app and although the Reolink camera may be the better (5K), it does require an additional Ethernet connected device or a monthly subscription for best performance. The Ring has less resolution (HD). The next generation Ring has 2K video, but is $150 more than the Arlo, so I got the Arlo. I'm only using this camera at night between sundown and sunrise. Love the Arlo app. Turned the spotlight off to make it less obvious that there is a security camera at my front door. It's activated by motion of pets, people, and vehicles in the customized detection zone at times you want it to be active. Uses about 3% of battery per night with 15 or so videos each about 15 seconds long. Takes 4 hours to charge the battery 50%. Phone gets a notification delayed about 15 seconds after a detection event. Can snap a photo of a frame of the video, and zoom in on it on the phone. Arlo sells a separate base station with micro SD storage, but, without the monthly subscription, many camera features do not function....

Australian user: Overall high quality, reliable most of the time with occasional glitches, may be due to bugs in the app.
Drawback: the mount not stably secured under ceiling or on a wall.
Conclusion: surely worth the money when compared with cheap ones I have used before.
