Tenmile: I absolutely loved this camera/light system for the first year that I had it--but then it developed a problem.
It first went off line a month ago, and I was able to put it back on line following the basic installation process--which isn't too hard to do. Then it worked for a few weeks and quit again. I was able to re-install it, but it quit working after a few minutes. Repeated installations worked for a few minutes each time and then quit. Through the troubleshooting with the Arlo staff, I probably reinstalled the unit a dozen times. Installations all successful, but short-lived.
The Arlo support was accessible, and the staff helpful and friendly, but they could not figure out what was wrong with the unit and we spent about two or three days trying to get it to work. Although I have three other cameras with no issues, they turned to trying to trouble shoot my internet system, as though the unit was not getting a strong enough signal. (The installation location shows a good signal, speed of 55 Mb download and 27 Mb upload). At this point they decided to elevate the matter and arrange for a replacement.

CAC: About the best out there… and I’ve searched a lot
It’s expensive and while it works with the base it’s better with the base
But that raises the price big time
The solar panel option does not provide enough charging capability
So a spare battery and plug in charger is recommended…raising the price more
Once you’ve spent the money, you won’t be disappointed

Alex: Reviews were good and I agree with high reviews. It was easy to set up as was the app. It needs recharging more often than I expected but it is easy to do.

JoanneL: Sleek design. Love the combo of floodlight, camera, speaker and alarm. This is pricey but considering all it does, it is worth it. The light is surprisingly bright. Excellent easily positioned ball mount.
Smart alert is good so you won't be waken at night but a stray cat.
I have used Arlo for many years and find it to be reliable, innovative and exceptional.
Go for 2K or 4K if you want to monitor anything at a distance, Front yard, driveway.

K Sz: I purchased and installed this camera for a relative. And, from what I can witness, it's a better camera than I thought. I was comparing this with the Arlo 4 Pro. I'm glad I got this one instead. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the Arlo 4 Pro is good for a camera near the door. But, if you are looking for something to light up an entire area, for example a driveway, the Arlo 3 Pro Floodlight is the way to go. It is super bright! And with the magnetic plug (not included in package. separate purchase required), it gets even brighter.
I can't tell you as far a battery life. But, unfortunately, my relatives aren't tech savvy like me. They need something that they don't have to keep maintaining, recharging, etc. Therefore, save yourself the trouble and get the magnetic cable charger for the camera. Saves yourself the trouble of constantly recharging and you get the bonus of a brighter light from it.
You will get what typically comes with Arlo. Controlling areas of activity, instant notifications, security protocols, animal or person recognition, and all the typical software features that come with every camera. The 2k visibility is a nice bonus. Motion sensor is probably 3-5...

Sunshine Rivas: I’m a tech/gadgets enthusiast and I do have a lot of cameras and home devices, so let’s say I know a bit about the subject, I bought this camera because it’s the only option (floodlight) available that works with HomeKit, and that’s my smart home platform of choice, the camera works great but even though it’s expensive, I had to purchase a home base from Arlo to make it compatible with Apple HomeKit, and on top of that, it doesn’t support Apple secure Video, so Arlo wants you to pay a subscription fee if you want to have records of the footage, and as of many, I’m tired of so many subscriptions, so that’s why I’m not rating it higher.
