L: Love these cameras. A good wi-fi signal is required especially with multiple cameras. Easy set up with the option to add more cameras at a later date. Overall find the batteries last approx 3 months for low traffic areas in summer and approx 1 month in areas of high traffic or winter months.

Dr. Terrence McGarty: One is always concerned about these tech devices. But I thought why not and took the plunge. So first, the box comes with no instructions. None. Thus using my more than half century experience I juggled this thing around and got it to work. I often wonder what people do who are not MIT PhDs in EECS, have built global fiber and wireless networks, etc.

Here is what I did:

1. Remove parts from the boxes
2. Plug in controller
3. Insert battery and charge
4. Connect controller to WiFi Ethernet connection
5. Plug in the controller
6. Look around and find the on switch
7. Look around and find the WiFi Synch switch. Unless you have done hundreds of these things you may not get this far
8. Do the same for synch on the camera
9. Now what to do? I guessed there was some app from Arlo. Yep, download the app.
10. Now create an Arlo account. Never give then a credit card and most likely you have given them access to you phone, home, and total life but they all want that.
11. Load and activate the app
12. Activate the hub from the App
13. Activate the camera
14. At any step here you may mess up and get stopped but guess I was...

Mariefita: Easy to install and configure. Clear picture and sound. I like that there are no subscriptions. Sometimes a bit laggy to connect. Speaker doesn’t always connect and timely. That option doesn’t work well at all for me, but that is not our main use.

Sheryl Hamilton: Comes with the small base station with no siren (contrary to what's indicated in the description). Siren and a USB port for local recording are only features of the larger Pro/Pro2 base station.

Draco Bellator: El funcionamiento de las cámaras es excelente. La imagen es muy clara, la instalación es extremadamente sencilla (sin cables, sin conexiones, sólo un orificio en la pared, un taquete y un tornillo). La batería dura un par de meses si tienes el cuidado de apagarlas cuando no las ocupas. Todo se controla desde el celular: el encendido de las cámaras, el modo de vigilancia, la activación del sistema, e incluso puedes disparar la alarma, aunque generalmente esto puede ocurrir automáticamente si así lo programas. Recibes notificaciones en el celular cuando el sistema se activa por movimiento, con una imagen y video de lo que ocurre. Puedes monitorear en video directo (con unos segundos de retraso) cualquier estancia en la que hayas instalado las cámaras, tiene audio de dos vías:puedes escuchar, o incluso hablar desde el celular cuando tienes activado el monitoreo en tiempo real. Puedes instalar hasta cinco cámaras en cada estación base. El audio es bastante decente. Es un sistema muy completo, fácil de instalar, intuitivo, y muy útil. Estoy más que satisfecho con las cámaras. Vale cada peso.

Amazon Customer: I wanted a camera that did not need to have cables ran all over my house. You can find lots of wireless cameras, but they still require a power source. These were the only units I could find that were TRULY wireless. With that, you have to expect some limitations. You are going to give up some features to gain the flexibility to mount the camera anywhere.

I have been running the cameras for about a week now and here is the list of Pros and Cons and Limitations.

Limitations:
- These are battery powered, so they do not respond instantly. I find that there is about a 3 second delay time between motion detection and when the recording starts. This is to be expected, as the camera needs to "wake up" to begin capturing video/audio.
- Video is choppy/delayed. When using the LIVE camera option, the video is lagging behind real world. This makes it slow to use the intercom feature. This is significantly effected by the quality of your internet connection. I have seen up to 10+ seconds delay in video, but no effects to quality of video.
- Battery life dependent on location. The more motion detected (video captured) the faster the battery dies. This...
