The filter is pretty quiet. Water flow is perfect. Decent size for one Beta. Bought 2 for 2 Betas. Came perfectly, no cracks or any issues.

We've had this tank set up for just over a month now, and so far so good. The filter is dead silent, and the light is steady and bright. And our "rescue fish" seems %1000 percent happier in this tank than the silly little bowl my daughter received him in. YES, IT IS THIN PLASTIC, BUT IT IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL AND SERVES THE PURPOSE.

THE FILTER IS NOT THE BEST, BUT IT IS TOTALLY QUIET.
IF YOU DONT OVERFEED AND DIRTY UP THE TANK, THE FILTER IS SUFFICIENT. (I WAS TOLD THE FOOD SHOULD BE THE SIZE OF THE BETTAS EYE. ALSO, AFTER 5 MINUTES OF FEEDING TIME, TAKE A FISH NET AND SKIM THE EXCESS FOOD OUT OF THE WATER)
THE TANK ALSO CAME WITH A PACKAGE OF WATER CONDITIONER WHICH I DID NOT USE BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID TO INTRODUCE ANY FOREIGN SUBSTANCE THAT MIGHT TRAUMATIZE SKIPPER. I FILLED THE TANK 2/3 FULL AND LET IT FILTER FOR 2 DAY BEFORE ADDING HIM AND HIS ORIGINAL FISH BOWL WATER.
HE HAS BEEN HAPPY AND HEALTHY FROM THE FIRST MOMENT!

We purchased the 2.5 gal tank for an aquatic frog. It's compact, which was exactly what we were looking for. As it's plastic, it's easier to lift and clean than the larger & heavier 5 gallon glass tank we had.
We haven't had difficulty with scratching at all.
The pump starting make a disconcerting, high pitched, squealing/gurgling noise of death about a month ago. I have searched unsuccessfully for a replacement, so I finally called customer service. A real, live person answered the phone immediately (I thought I must've misdialed) and transferred me to their tech department where another real, live person answered the phone. She was very knowledgeable and personable.
She recommended that the water level has to stay up above the little pipe inlet thingy (she knew the technical term, I can't recall it) so it covers the motor. Look at the picture in the listing, find the top fish. Draw a line in your mind from the bottom of his butt over to the left. That's where the water level has to be to function.
She also recommended that one replaces the filter every 4 to 6 weeks and stated that if the water is flowing mostly over and not through the...

An awesome aquarium, my little betta and buddies really like it. A very quiet filter (sometimes it does make an annoying buzzing sound but usually I put more water in the tank and it goes away), perfect size to fit on top of my little bookshelf (would look pretty cool on a vanity/desk as well). I will say that having a goldfish on the image is very false, goldfish would need a much bigger tank, they would not live happy in this aquarium, suitable for bettas only. My aquarium houses 1 male betta, 2 cherry shrimp, and one mystery snail. Looks awesome, keeps my live plants healthy too. I will say that the filter current does seem a little strong for a betta, but he usually will rest in the plants. The aquarium also came with an easy to read manual with set up and how-to’s, as well as a water conditioner and some aqueon fish food (which I don’t use this for my betta but I appreciate these things being included). Is definelty worth buying online compared to in store (they usually jack up the price in pet stores)

I adore this tank. It’s very affordable, and I’m elated to see a betta tank that is a humane size AND has a filter and accommodates a heater, but it’s still stylish like many lesser nano tanks, and a perfect smaller footprint so you don’t need a huge area to put it. The filter is very quiet, and I love that it’s inset beneath the lid instead of back hanging or under gravel. The LEDs are super bright and work perfectly. My java fern seem to be doing well under the light. My betta loves resting in the crowds of leaves. When I first started the filter I thought it would be too strong for a betta, but I realized it was just ejecting the water out the top while it primed. Once it was operating properly the flow comes out in a lower slit under the filter media, which has a nice gentle current. I never see my betta struggling against it, but it does gently stir the plants. For the price this is the perfect betta tank for a conscientious owner.

I love this tank so far and so does my son's batta. I can tell he's happier in the bigger tank with water that moves and is filtered. The fish is more active and has brighter color.
I read a lot of reviews about their fish getting pulled into the filter so i placed a plant so the intake is in the middle of the plant, just in case.
The tank was easy to set up. Its nearly silent and seems to be working great!
Overall, im happy with it, especially for the price.
