Kindle Customer: If you are looking for a camera that you can read a license plate from 300 feet, keep looking and be ready to pay for it. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive camera that you can check up on things, you may want to take a look at this one. The camera is super easy to setup. I had mine up and running in a matter of minutes. Night vision is pretty good. You have two resolution choices (SD or HD) dont bother with SD,, I just leave mine on HD. PTZ function is quite basic. There is no auto tracking or presets. Panning is choppy at about 5 degree chunks.
All in all, you get what you pay for. This is a basic PTZ camera that you dont need to run a single wire for.

Xiaozhen WuXiaozhen Wu: Installed the camera at my vacation house yesterday and so far so good. The installation was fairly straightforward and I didn't have any issues getting up and running. The image quality is very good in both day and night vision. The motion detection seems to work well and I am still playing with the sensitivity settings to find the right one for my situation. I installed the maximum size SD card (64GB) and have been able to replay the video that is recorded when the unit is triggered by motion. The "PTZ" feature functions adequately although there is a slight delay from the time you initiate movement until the camera moves. I have a similar "wired" camera at my house but bought this one because it is solar powered and I did not have access to a power outlet at the area I wanted to place it. The solar panel is very solid and appears to be well made as is the camera. Time will tell if it will hold up to the elements as it is located in a coastal community and subject to a salty air environment. Based on my initial experience I have decided to buy a second unit to give to my daughter as a Christmas gift.

tom zhoutom zhou: "Setup is extremely easy, and the Solar panel is large to collect a lot of sunlight throughout the day. Good solid metal base unit.Looks like it will hold up well in all types of weather. I thought the price was very reasonable, considering all the features this camera offers.
I initially had connection issues and the cameras would go offline a lot. However, if the camera detected activity it would come back online. This issue was resolved be adding a WiFi extender to my setup. Now they stay online and if the go offline line I can bring them back remotely. So If you are mounting the camera in an area where access is not easy, I recommend not mounting it permanently until you test the WiFi connection. Looks like you need at least two bars for it function properly. If you need to add a WiFi extender, you will have to pair the unit with you device again. I had to use the camera ""Reset"" button to get it to request pairing again.
The picture is very clear and it has a super bright LED light option. The solar panel appears to be sturdy and has been keeping the camera charged even on cloudy and rainy days. Only time will tell on the performance of the camera, batteries and solar...

Pharoah Half DeadPharoah Half Dead: The media could not be loaded. Original Oct 24, 2020, 4 stars:. The cameras work great but the software is horrible. It frequently crashes and/or the cameras go offline.
The instructions are kinda shoddy for software install. When it said scan qr, i thought i would have to use my phone's qr scanner to scan the code on the camera, but we need to point the camera at the phone and scan the qr on the screen. Once i figured it out, it was very easy. The ui is pretty easy to use, and once they update the software so that it doesn't crash so frequently, i can probably go back and give this 5 stars.
Update Jan 16, 2023: After 2 1/2 months, I changed my mind about my recommendation.
Pros:
Good deterrent. It takes a lot of guts to try to break into a house that has half a dozen cameras.
Can move the cameras to see other parts of my property.
The battery life is pretty good, I think. I have never had a problem with running out of power, however, the software is trash and inaccurate. The time can be 0430 am and the battery might report 15% full, but once 0730 comes around, and the sun pops out, the battery will report 100%. Ummm, yea, I don't get it...

Tiffany Willms: I have had the previous model for about 2 years guess here, anyways never had a issue besides one of them I don’t think the mic worked properly from the start! Not a big deal just ordered the newest model because that’s what’s available now and They are separate mounting that’s a negative more holes then needed, the older model was much more heavy duty these new ones I got the solar panels are small and very nice and slim looking, not sure they will hold up threw a storm the camera should be fine but the solar panels might not! Hoping I am wrong! Time will tell! Still easy to set up and install! I do like that you do not have to have screw to reset device if needed
