PeggyB1: Can I recommend this belt to others? It all depends. What problem do you expect it to address, what kind of body contours you have, how long do you expect it to last? Since this belt is basically a straight, wide elastic band, like all elastic, once stretched over a curved surface, (your hips) it will tend to creep from a wider area toward a narrower, or to crease and curl where your body bends. You will know within a few hours of wearing it whether this bothers you a lot or not much, and how much relief wearing it provides. As to durability, all elastic, when stretched continuously for long periods of time, will lose its stretch sooner or later. How long is reasonable to expect from a belt that costs only $20?

Answering for myself, this was a good choice for the price. My problem was sciatic pain, which caused trigger points, which in turn made the sciatic pain worse. I tried a chiropractic adjustment plus deep tissue massage, which helped some but would need several treatments to resolve the issue. I bought this belt hoping it would relieve some of the discomfort between sessions with the massage therapists, and was pleased that after wearing the belt for a few days...

Digby: Who knew that the hip joint and muscle problems I’ve been having for several years could be helped so much by a little band that cost under $25? I was not aware that my problem was my SI joint plus piriformis muscle and have since found out, but when this band arrived at my home and I put it on, my pain went away immediately. I had/have locked up right hip problems that weren’t sciatica but wasn’t quite sure what was going on. I can’t walk very well without this thing right now, but it completely stopped the pain in my hip, down my right leg, into my knee and ankle joints so well that I was extra strength tylenol free for an entire week and a half that I wasn’t doing any of my zoom workout classes. Amazingly effective. I have been using this band continuously since I got it a couple of weeks ago, and other than having to find “the spot” each time I put it on, it’s still working fine. I can wear it over or under cloths, under pj’s while confined which is great for bathroom stops without having to redo it each time, and have washed it by hand in the sink once. I am not having velcro problems yet, but for the price I can sew on something or just get another one...

roger: 5 stars! Here's my review along with some notes abt the product, and things I've been learning about my own low back and hip pain.
Pros:
1) the design is perfect to help with alleviating SI pain. Specifically, the two smaller belts that overlay on the main belt, are 2" width which is a proper size to target compression on the sides of the hips.
2) The main belt is also nicely designed and sized. Also i was surprised to find that I can wear this over my jeans, and with my shirt untucked the belt stays hidden.

Cons:
1) none.
On a side note: there is no product that will be a cure-all, you'll need to put in work for long term benefits.

Notes/tips:
1) the product is intended for SI use, not lower back. See sellers picture which shows the belt about 1-2 inches below navel.
2) the product also says to use the belt for 3-12 weeks. That seems like far too long imo, and i would recommend using this only enough to help in (a) your recovery/corrective phase, then (b) work on preventive/mobility/strengthening for your hips and low back.
3) In regards to (a), a GOOD chiropractor is the quickest way to correct injuries where you 'tweaked something'. If...
