C. Stein: I have two of these which I got for our bedrooms.
I like that I don't need two separate appliances for air purifying and humidifying, and that the humidifier basin is so easy to clean.
The lights are pretty, but I also like being able to turn them off for sleeping. They don't go completely dark - there's a small power light that stays on, but it's just enough to keep me from kicking the thing in the middle of the night.
On medium and low settings they're very quiet. They're even more quiet with the humidifier in place.
As others have noted, these are evaporative humidifiers so they operate very cleanly while boosting the air humidity *a little*. They're not going to turn a desert into a rainforest. It's enough to keep me from waking up with nosebleeds in winter which is all I need. I'm not trying to grow tropical plants.

I had occasion to contact the manufacturer over a part I'd lost - totally my fault - and they were so kind and responsive! I'm impressed!

Mia ZhouMia Zhou: The media could not be loaded.  I’ve just got this purifier today. It works fine, but instead of 7 color lights, mine’s got 3 color only and a long pulse of no lights…(as shown in my video). I know it doesn’t affect the main function of the item, yet the lighting is one feature advertised. Gonna return it. If you don’t mind of the lighting issue, the purifier itself is okay.

Blair Young: The filters are hardcore, and my air seemed less chewy almost immediately. I was sceptical about the humidifier, but it works great, moving the humidity needle noticeably almost as soon as it’s turned on. Absolutely whisper-quiet on low, you don’t even know it’s on. I love the lights, it am glad the can be turned off in the daytime when lights are redundant and would simply mean they burn out prematurely.

The one negative I will say is that there is a weird clicking sound coming out of the plug when it’s plugged in but off. Not from the socket, but from the bulky oval thing right near the plug.

Is it a bit more expensive than I would’ve liked? Yes. But seeing what it costs for other purifier/humidifiers, and given that it actually works, and appears it will so for a long time, I am good with it now.

BookReaderBookReader: The size itself is smaller than i thought, which is great. When you take off the humidifier part, it's even shorter. The device uses the same principles as a swamp cooler. Pulling in water to a filter and blowing out the purified air from the filter top. I bought this with the intention of using for a plant humidifier tent but it doesn't produce enough humidity at all. You're better off with a vaporizer. I do use this in my living room though, next to my office. Being from the desert, it's the perfect amount of humidity to get some water in the air. On LOW and MEDIUM, the sound is relatively quiet. But on HIGH, it's definitely there. If you like white noise, it's good. But i do have to turn it down on meeting calls.

KreelaKreela: I was not sure whether to use tap water or distilled. Included is a nice brochure with instructions, pictures, and two pages of troubleshooting. Yet two pressing answers were not found:
1. What is the fill level?
As you can see by the towel, I overfilled by accident. There is a hole near the top (it was on the other side while filling), and I saw no interior fill line marking. After wiping up the spill, I tried turning it on and it turned off immediately after one light. Solution: place the purifier upside down and drain all the water that spilled inside.
2. Type of water to use? IDK. I chose bottled spring water I had on hand, but discovered that the entire gallon doesn't fit. Oops.

That said, the lights are beautiful. The purifier was tucked into the bedroom closet since there is absolutely no room for you to walk around the bed otherwise, and I could tell that the air seemed cleaner and less dry. My bed cover did not emit static electricity (it did the night before). I didn't wake in the middle of the night needing to coat my nasal passages or wipe a nose drip. Or sneeze. Win!

D. Theoret: I don't even question the efficiency of this machine in purifying the air as it is HEPA13, and that's good enough for me. The humidifier works well enough at a high setting in a large room, but the water level must be kept high enough.

I noticed that when the water level gets low, it is less efficient. This is in a large area, as there is no wall between our living room and the dining room. Everything is open so it's a very large room. This machine raised the humidity to 55% from 35%/39% that we had on average, depending on the heating and temperature outside. My guess is this would be still efficient in a regular-sized room like a bedroom at low for sleeping and medium during the day.

I am happy with this purchase, especially with the rebate on Amazon.

Amazon Customer: Ok the good first - this is a nice unit, it's sleek, light in dark makes a good night light with a variety of colours to choose from.
Lightweight, easy to use, small enough you can find a home for it.
It's not too noisy if you keep it at low to medium fan speed.
High way too loud,
(When you put humidifier on top it does make it quieter)

Surprisingly, on medium the humidifier actually does work. Our bedroom, roughly 12' x 12'. Using Geevon Digital Hygrometer our bedroom goes from 40% humidity all the way up to 65% by morning and this was done few nights consistently near the end of November.

The bad, well sorta. I have no way of knowing if it's actually cleaning/purifying my air. There no expert reviews on Afloia that actually measure the air quality. Only thing i can say to this is

1. After about a week of 24/7 running on medium - checking the air filter doesn't look dirty at all.

2. Unless you have the fan set to high, the suction will just barely hold a paper towl against it.
Comparing this to Levoit Core 300 they're not even in the same league. Comparing them, you'd think the Alfoia is defective. The suction and the quietness is...

EricEric: The media could not be loaded.  Out of the box you have 4 parts. Air cleaner, Air Filter, Humidifier Module and Humidifier Filter. Super simple and very effective. No mist, no white dust and you can fill the reservoir without removing the module. Low and medium fan speeds are very quiet. High speed you can hear, expectly. The air coming out of the top after being filtered twice is so fresh. The first night I ran it the humidity level increased from 30% to 40% and for the first time I woke up without dry sinuses. I am very happy with this purchase. I knew nothing about humidifiers until recently. I made a huge mistake and purchased, what was called, a cool mist unit. I then found out it was actually an ultrasonic humidifier and it produced white dust. I had to replace it with an evaporative design. The Afloia air cleaner with the humidifier module is perfect. Clean air that is not dry or stale. 5 stars.
