dewspots21: Haven’t used the remote, mostly because even when I put it in night mode I have to put something over the blue indicator lights or it keeps me up. It is very quiet. Even when red & on high power it’s quieter than my humidifier. However, I don’t think this is as efficient as they claim, and it doesn’t work quite as well as I read in other reviews. But it does work! It turns on a little while after a cat gets out of the litter box, and pretty much anytime I turn on the oven. But it only sort of tackles the cigarette smoke & dust. Husband smokes in the garage but when he comes in he brings a waft of smoke. Sometimes it cranks up for that, but not always. But after cleaning the filter it works even better - remember to vacuum that thing off on a regular basis.
After owning it and running it all day every day (in sleep mode about 8 hours at night), for over 5 months now it still functions wonderfully! I took off the cover today to vacuum the filter (I just completely forgot I needed to do that!). Oh, it was packed full of dust and cat hair. But cleaned so easily with the vacuum! I'm ordering some replacement filters, but haven't gotten a reminder yet that it...
