mcyogini: Ordered this after Mom lost a different one. She loves the color and it helps to stand out so she sees it if she is out at a restaurant or in the shopping cart so she doesn't loose this one. It is sturdy and stands on its own without having such a wide base ( out other one was very wide and people would accidentally kick it ). The only negative, and its a slight one is that in comparison, the other one was more heavy duty with its slightly higher quality of materials but, for the price, this one is the better choice for someone of her stature. If the person who needs it is a larger person, it may be worth going for the heaviest dutiest one you can find. For us, its perfect.

aneye4wonders: I would have to be honest and say that I bought this cane mainly because it was PINK; however, my husband insisted on the purchase because it was sturdy and stable and met our financial parameters...it was inexpensive! What a great purchase this has been. After nearly 2 years, I'm still using it when I need it and I'm not embarrassed because it's fashionable, PINK, and does what I need it to be...helps me walk easier!

George St George: Quality product. I would have given it a 5 but when my mother went to adjust the height the pin got logged in the the cane and wasn’t easy to reset. I believe it will assist my mother in her aging years.

Tara: It arrived earlier then expected (3days sooner).
The color is very nice and feminine. The pink is soft in color and not right in your face "look at me" hue.

I have surgery coming up on my feet and will need something to help me get around, after I have "graduated" from the crutches.

It appears to be what it says it will be. And it came in its own carry bag which is great. And it is discreet so I can keep in the car should I need it.
I can not speak to some of the other reviews where the base comes off, as I have not used it. Should this be the case for cane I will update this review.

Robin: My friend and I read the reviews and each got Big Alex for our big adventure to Europe for our 70th birthdays. We were happy to get Alex as it was lightweight and could fold up and fit into our shoulder bags. I took Alex to Europe on vacation because I know how challenging cobblestones and sudden changes in walking surfaces can be and a cane can be a great help. I am 5’4” and 175pounds. I tried to step down from the curb and the handle broke off. I went tumbling. Two quick people were able to break my fall. The handle of the cane cannot be repaired. My traveling partner has the same Alex cane. She loaned me hers. The bottom piece would work it’s way loose after about a half hour of walking. It fell off once and I almost fell into traffic. We have to check it all of the time to tighten it. What a hassle!

Nan: I rolled my ankle on a step in a misstep and received a severe sprain. For over a month I could not put any weight on it and used a knee walker to get around. The podiatrist now says I must start doing some walking with brace or boot, and it just made sense to now get a cane. I researched A LOT of canes till I decided on this one for the price, color and features...and I've not been disappointed at all. It basically does all you would want in a cane and more.

It folds up easily and easily stores in its own pouch whenever, wherever needed (knee walker basket, purse, backpack, etc...), it hangs on almost anything with a wrist strap that has an ID tag(like luggage), it snaps quickly and beautifully into position and it's very sturdy. Oh, and it also adjust to whatever needed height, but check the specifications given on each. The pink is the shorter one. I chose the metallic-like royal blue. Very nice looking!

You shouldn't go wrong in purchasing this cane! I sure didn't.
