Ragman: This is the second unit I have bought. My old one was not backlit at the display and I find that having this feature is great for viewing the readings from across a room. The unit keeps a history of highs and lows which I find interesting. I did not get the unit with a rain gauge as I already have a separate beaker style gauge in my yard. I would recommend this unit to anybody looking for an easy setup with accurate readings.

GunnerGunner: I really like this unit! My wife wanted a wind measuring unit, and this fits the bill! It also has info on other measurements, of course, like temp, humidity, rain forecast, etc. It is easy to set up and install. As you can see from my pic I set the outside part up on a 4x4 at the height of around 15 feet or so. It can also be mounted on a roof line or wherever you wish, really. Really great item and a great value too.

JD: This is a great weather station. Like the memory function so you can review the months weather and the all time stats. It’s nice and has colourful display that makes it easy to read all the relevant wether I go inside and out. The wind meter is worth the effort as it will give you wind chill effect which is very helpful in winter like climates, such as mine. Would be nice to have wind direction but not really necessary as it tends to swirl around in urban environments anyway. Make sure you get good lithium batteries for the outdoor sensor so they don’t freeze is really cold temperatures. Overall I’m very happy with this product. Good purchase!

Mike: Love this product, it does exactly what I bought it for, backyard weather station. I have it mounted on my roof and it have excellent reception to the receiver. I really enjoy the trend monitoring options that it shows.
My only criticism is that the display needs to be read at a specific angle or it’s faint and difficult to read.

Rick: I’ve had one of these for 5 years.
Recently the transmitter failed to communicate. Other reviewers have experienced this problem as well.
Rather than just order a new transmitter I decided to get the transmitter and receiver set which was on sale at the time. Now I have the old and new displays working off the same TX. One upstairs one down.
Accurate, easy to read, simple to set up.
The display however does have a narrow vertical viewing angle. From same level and above it’s great. If you place the display higher the view from below is faded. Horizontal is fairly wide.
The TX lifespan looks suspect but a good unit otherwise.

®ichard: I bike to work on days that isn't too cold nor rainy. So I wanted a device next to my bed when I wake up and quickly check the temp and weather condition. I was going to get the simple device with just the outdoor thermometer. Well this on eis on sale for the same price and had a wind measuring device so that was better. ALso this model has a better screen then the simplier one.

Goods:
+ great for the price I got it at. Also I got another one as a Christmas present.
+ seem to be well built well, even the wind outdoor therometer was built pretty good.
+ setup was easy and it sync instantly. I have mine on the 3rd floor and it is outside in my back yard so the range is fine.
+ outdoor temp is on pair with accurate weather website I checked the city I live in, exact number. Indoor I think it might be 2 degrees higher compared to my house thermometer.
+ screen looks nice, but it is just led on a color background that doesn't change.
+ good dimming mode. It dim the led brightness per the time range (you can read the manual for that). It doens't have a light sensor, which I thought per term auto dim, but I did read the manual and it is time...
