Pykecrew: Insert in the battery compartment, run the cable down the pole and secure out of sight for easy access to your weather station. No more climbing ladders or dangling trying to replace sensor batteries. I have easy access to change the batteries whenever required.

Gregory A. Hoggatt: If you have an Acurite sensor mounted high up on the roof, then you need this! I bought this extension to keep from having to climb onto the roof peak and stretch to get to the battery compartment. After installing this extension, now I can change batteries much safer and easier

Francesca: I wish this were available with a longer cord. I have the weather on the peak of a steep roof, so changing batteries is tough. I ran the battery pack into a bedroom window. It would have been a cleaner installation if the wire were longer. But it’s very easy to install and works just fine. I like that I won’t have to climb on the roof to change the batteries again

LC: ***Update #2 (December 8, 2020): Both remote battery pack and AcuRite weather station are going strong without any issues. Still ORIGINAL batteries since Christmas 2018 ~ Using Lithium batteries as better in Cold climate weather.**
**Update (March 18, 2020): The remote battery pack is still is use without issue....AND still the original batteries since Christmas 2018....We have experienced all weather conditions since then and the unit has literally weathered them all from nearly -50 C to + 30 C...snow, rain and a LOT of sunshine!! Very pleased!!**
Gifted for Christmas 2018 with the AcuRite weather station and it is completely compatible.
It was received quickly and works well so far. The cord is long enough to allow for easy access to the batteries for changing them all while keeping the main battery compartment undercover and out of the elements. A great feature is the fact that the batteries are separated into two sets so that you can ensure you do not lose your historical data when changing the batteries.
