Giuliano SanipelliGiuliano Sanipelli: I’ve had weather station for over 10 years, except for the broken wind cups breaking off it has worked very well. It agrees with our local weather station quite closely. The spreadsheet is very awkward as it needs editing to see data.

YULspotter: Unit was relatively easy to set up and WiFi range is quite good. Screen is easy to read. Lots of historical data available on the ticker screen at the bottom of the display. I would have given this unit a higher rating if it weren’t for the problematic PC Connect software. Received numerous no display connected error messages. Had to unplug and replug the USB to fix. Now after a power failure and resulting sudden shutdown of my PC, the PC Connect software no longer opens in Windows. Tried everything to fix it including de-installing and re-installing PC Connect, un plugging the USB & plugging it into another port, powering the display off and back on again but to avail. Unfortunately AcuRite’s tech support online is very limited and focusses mainly in setting up the weather station. No info on problems with running the software.

israel: La consola es muy buena y precisa en las mediciones. Los sensores se montan muy fácil. La descarga de los datos es buena, aunque faltó que se pudiera configurar el formato de fecha y hora. No despliega la información el la PC, tomarlo en cuenta. Los servicios online no están habilitados para otras regiones del mundo, en particular México, uno esperaría que se pudiera dar de alta por medio de latitud y longitud.

MathMan: Fun but my temps are off in the sun. I think I got one that the fan doesn't turn on itself. These are hit and miss. I knew ahead of time that this might happen but hoped for the best but got a dud. If you get one just know there is a good chance the temps might be offin the sun. It has already said its 90degrees on feb 10 2016 in south Texas. That ain't right.

Update July 18 2016
Right after I wrote this review above I ended up calling customer support. They answered right away and we ended up figuring out my internal fan was bad. They didn't have the one solar panel parts in stock to send me, so they sent me an upgraded dual solar panel part for free!!! It arrived in 3 business days. It took me 15 minutes to install the new solar panel. Super easy.

Then I installed the weather station outside again and the temperatures were good but not perfect. I then figured out the slightly high temps were due to having the weather station on my rooftop and my shingles make it say a higher temperature.

I then moved the weather station to my fence and it is right on point!!!

I love being able to upload to weather underground.com and watch it...

RichardRichard: I have been using this product for 2 weeks as of this posting. So far, it is working great.

Works as advertised! Setup was easier than my old WMR100 due to the 5-in-1 sensor array.

The display is bright (almost too bright) with large, easy to read numbers. It is segmented well with little clutter.

The wireless reception is great.

The PC connect software was a disappointment as it does not do very much to enhance the data through computer connectivity.

I am using an open source third party weather data logging software (WSDL) to log data to my computer and send data to the Wunderground map service with no problems.

The calibration out of the box was off for all sensors (everything reading high), but after spending a little time to calibrate per the instructions in the manual, was able to get every thing just right.

The Acurite 06003RM Pro Upgrade (Dual Solar Panels) is not really an upgrade but a must if you want accurate outdoor temperature. The solar panel(s) power a small fan that helps to remove solar loading to the temperature sensor for a more accurate ambient air temperature reading. With only one panel...

Bob M: Very nice product and price Works well with accurate weather as described with one fairly minor exception for me. Mounting either inside or outside devices. Supplied USB cable to connect to PC is way too short to be very useful. Enclosed cable is about 3 foot long and manual states inside receiver should be 6 foot or more away from electrical items like PC's / computers? Easy fix with longer cable.

Also, as noticed only in owners manual: Outside sending unit should be mounted higher than noticed earlier. Something like 20 feet. The higher the more accurate so it says. Although 6-8 foot appears to work just fine too. Especially because many people are more concerned with what the weather is like closer to the ground when it comes to wind speed and direction? Depends on how and why you want to use it? Higher altitude tells one thing while lower tells another? Roof top applications are deemed to be good. But, holes in roof are leak hazards. Better off to mount outside sending unit on well stabilized grounded metal pole in middle of yard away from any obstruction.
