Elizabeth :
Lots of songs that are fun to play, and they are easier so I can play them.
The only thing I don’t care for is the book is hard to keep open, it keeps wanting to flop shut. I use some clips to keep the book open, so it works, just more of a disconvenience. It’s still an excellent book.

Jim: This is a good beginner/slightly advanced beginner book. All of the familiar classic songs are in here. It will keep you practicing for a while. Really nice value.

Nice little arrangements for the beginner. My advice? Spend a couple of dollars more and get the spiral version or invest in a couple of clothes pins! Haha. Seriously the spiral book is the best option.
Either way it’s a good piano book.

Sandra: Some of the pieces are a bit short otherwise this is a good book if you are interested in playing Piano classics. The Authors have made these pieces more approachable so should suit a piano player who has been playing for about a year and has therefore covered the basics such as reading music and able to find notes on the piano with some ease. All the pieces can be downloaded as MP3 files so you can listen to them and hear how they should sound which is great.

Gabriela E.: La verdad es que es un muy buen libro para principiantes, las adaptaciones que manejan suenan como las grandes obras y emociona mucho poderlas tocar aunque tengas poco tiempo estudiando piano.

BigJon: This is most definately NOT for beginners. Most of the pieces are technically very challenging, requiring at least an intermediate skill level. Even my teacher has trouble with many of these...

Elisa 20:
I read many of the reviews here and wasn't sure if this book was what I was looking for. Would it be "too easy"? "Too hard"? "Too short?" "Too simplified"? Or, as many said, perfect for his/ her level.
Fortunately, for me it turned out to be just what I was looking for. But I do understand how difficult choosing the right level could be. This says it's a "Beginner's" book--not an "Intermediate's"--and I think that's right. You should be able to read music two octaves up from middle "C" and one octave below, but the base is simple--usually one or two notes at a time, many slow selections and almost every song is in the key of C or F.
Even as someone who doesn't sight read well, I can play the pieces from the beginning with both hands--slowly. This is a good level for me--feels very "doable" but also a challenge as my practices begin rather haltingly. I feel my sight reading is improving because the notation doesn't overwhelm a beginner with too many notes at a time.
Some people were frustrated that the pieces were short excerpts of classics--1-3 pages of music. (The notes are nice and large, by the way, which I found very helpful) For me, I...

Jason Four: Some transcriptions sound really off (e.g.: Chopin's Op.9 No.2), but in general it's decent, straight-forward.
Also, like others have noted, sorting by composer name isn't always the best.
